Does a reliable, global state-save manager exist (or even possible)??
One of the workflow problems I encounter at gigs is the need to open multiple specific patches for each song. This consumes a lot of time. I use Audiobus 3, AUM, Thumbjam, ChordPolyPad, Sensual Sax, Korg Module and a few FX apps.
iOS makes it very hard to allow apps to directly interact, but maybe that will improve with iOS11.
A game changer for me would be an app which state-saves all open apps and reliably allows the user to use only a few clicks to move from one song to the next.
Is that even possible?
AFAIK, Audiobus tries to do this, but IME it doesnt work reliably. Perhaps I'm not understanding the best way to use state-saving in Audiobus 3?
Thanks for any tips!

Audio Units are your friend. Alternatively, for standalone apps only Audiobus offers something similar but depends on developers implementing it in the right way.
@brambos - how does this work?
Having never had to state save multiple apps for performance, how is the Audio Units state saving done?
Audio Units are plugins which run inside a host DAW or sequencer (like VST and AU plugins on desktop systems). They automatically save their state when you save the host's project.
Super convenient. State saving is one advantage, another is that you don't have to bother with standalone apps anymore., bevause their GUI is nicely integrated in the host. And IAA zombie states are a thing of the past. Etc.
I'm guessing if it wasnt so hard to achieve, someone would have made an app for it....
Not sure what others do for managing state workflows at gigs.It would be amazing for me to be able to open a "song" with each app loading the settings applicable to the song.Easier to do in Windows!
Thanks for that info brambos,
I only ever play my apps and record straight to my Mac using multiple outputs + MIDI.
