Thumb Jam: Multi-Timbral=1Midi Chan?
I understand how to use TJAM with the splitter function.
Where the first MIDI channel you have assigned in input settings is the first and then in ascending order.
How do you get ALL instruments of split to respond to 1 MIDI channel input?
Is there a different feature for this or setting I am not aware?

I'm curious to know this too. When I use thumb Jam I run it in AUM because it lets you select the instrument slots. I have four instruments loaded in the slots, and I have my guitar hooked up to an iRig Pro feeding into Midi Guitar 2 app and when I try to switch these slots in AUM it doesn't work. It just plays the first instrument slot sound. I assume this is because MIDIguitar is working from one MIDI channel, but I'm not really sure... I assume if you are using a MIDI keyboard with channel select this isnt a problem as with a guitar...
OK, there is some confusion in this area that will be partially mitigated by the soon to be released update of TJ that adds AB3 support and turns all of the individual output slots (available via AB or IAA) into "instrument" types that accept midi input on their own.
But for right now, to allow TJ to treat the slots separately via the main midi input you need to go into Prefs->MIDI Control, in the Input Options section set the In Channel to a number (not omni) which signifies the midi channel the first slot will listen to (subsequent slots go up the channels consecutively from there), and turn MPE mode OFF.
But your question is different, right now there is no way to have all the slots respond to the same midi channel internally. However, you can pretty easily get an external midi filter in there that will replicate the midi data to multiple channels to send to TJ at the same time. This is even easier when the next TJ update comes out with AB3 support and proper per-slot instruments for IAA.
I love ThumbJam. Thanks @sonosaurus !
I've actually got it booted up and ready to go right now in Airbnb HQ, where I'm going to perform later!
I spotted that Brenda Romero is also speaking at this concert. John Romero was speaking at the event earlier too, so I'm guessing he's going to rock up anytime. Rock on! I loved Doom!
Thank you
AND THANK YOU FOR AN INCREDIBLE APP
Any tutorials on preset designs?
Like how many samples you recommend per and a step by step?
Thanks
