The Strange Math of Patterning

Perhaps someone who is not a fellow humanities major can explain this odd type of subtraction to me.
I really like the layout and workflow of Patterning, but I am not that crazy about most of the preloaded kits. So, I deleted almost all of them. Now, the size of the file is even bigger than it was when it was stuffed with blips, bleeps, buzzes, clunks, and clonks?! How is this possible? Why does this occur?
Thanks,
Jeff

  • Have you emptied the trash?

Yes, I have deleted each of the individual WAV files in Patterning. Is there some other way to further purge them inside the app?
    Thanks.

  • Turn off Back Up setting on iPad and then delete and reinstall.

    Repeat your process

  • Hmm this sounds like a bug, but I'm looking at the code right now and I'm not sure why that would happen, as I'm deleting the sample data. I'll have to poke around and do some tests to see if there is something else happening.

    Thanks.
I am also going to try RUSTIK's remedy in the meantime.

Can you try just quitting Patterning after you delete samples? I noticed that the size goes up temporarily, and after quitting and relaunching it goes down.

I will give it a try

I actually had my beta give me ZERO presets 2 weeks ago.

I will reinstall and see if that happens on my AIR2 again.
