Audiobus 3.0.4 update has landed
We have just released Audiobus 3.0.4! We've made a bunch of fixes and improvements, including adding support for our remote control app Audiobus Remote.
Here's the full list of changes:
Audiobus Remote:
- AUDIOBUS REMOTE IS NOW COMPATIBLE WITH AUDIOBUS 3! To connect Audiobus Remote and Audiobus 3, please update to the lastest version of Audiobus 3.
- Audiobus Remote shows Audio Unit Extensions like ordinary apps.
- Use Audiobus Remote to switch seamlessly between Apps and Audio Unit Extension instances hosted in Audiobus 3
Audiobus 3:
New:
- AUDIOBUS 3 NOW SUPPORTS AUDIOBUS REMOTE. Use Audiobus Remote to improve your live performance workflow. Audiobus Remote makes it possible to switch seamlessly between Audio Unit Extension instances and ordinary apps. Be sure to update to the latest version of Audiobus Remote also.
- Pressing Stop button stops hanging MIDI notes in connected MIDI apps
- Mixer: If solo is activated, mute is disabled.
- Added a preset share button right beside load, save and rename.
- Several performance optimizations
Fixed:
- Fixed connection issues with the iConnectAudio4+ and the Apogee Quartet
- Fixed several crashes
- Fixed latency issues when using output ports
- Background didn't work on iPad 4 so we disabled background launching on iPad 4.
- Fixed errors when restoring the state.
- Fixed errors when quickly adding and removing ports
- Fixed issues with displaying Audio Unit Extensions
- Fixed issues when saving Audiobus 2 presets.
- Fixed visual artefacts
- It was not possible to add more then two instances of an Audio Unit Extensions to a MIDI output. This is fixed now.
- Fixed crackling when switching between apps.

Fantastic. So is this now at the level where I load in synths in AB3 and they magically appear in Modstep?
AB3 is ready, but Modstep ain't there yet.
Modstep does load and auto-launch properly in the audio side now though. I used to have to launch it first outside of AB3 to get it to work before.
