    Yes!

    Boom 808! + 909! get an AB3 / 64bit salvation too.

  • Oh ... my ... god! Thank you sooo much @pulsecode

    Modular was updated tooooooo-ooooo!

  • Nice! Had forgotten all about this app. Always loved the sound of it though. Time to dig again.

I feel I was in kneepants when this came out and I guess I was iOS-wise. One of the grand pleasures of going back is running it up with all kinds of effects etc that you've never matched it with before and that weren't even twinkles in the developer's eye last time around...

  • Yeah, I thought this developer had given up. Nice to see that they are still interested.

Rhythm Studio is a fun little app to mess around with on the iPhone. I've given up on Modular, as they haven't added any new modules for years, and the UI is a pain.

    Even nicer!

  • Time to install it again, with the newly added Audioshare support this will be one fun loop-maker now that ReBirth is 'gone.'..

  • Yeh... It would of been nice if Link was added tho. but at least the Devs kept there app going for the future of iOS.

  • Cool. Reinstalled rhythm studio!

Where do you see AS support? I only see iTunes and Audio Paste.

RythmStudio uses 'General Paste Board' even if it says 'AudioCopy'...
So you can just choose AudioCopy and in AudioShare paste it in.

Unfortunately it doesn't export 'perfect loops' so the resulting audio needs to be trimmed...

OK - to me AS support would be direct export to AS from within the app. Agreed that perfect loops would be nice. Still a nice little app that I used to use quite a bit.

That could come in an update considering Boom 808 & 909 + Modular and the new Pulse app have those options.

    Makes sense. Thanks

But I am a but 'puzzled' by the exports as you need to 'record' a performance in order to export it.(Ie. there is no 'render pattern to audio' function). For Book 808 / 909 the export format is aac/m4a and for Modular it's wav...

I'll mess more with the 'Pulse' app later...

  • Those 808 and 909 are The best available on IOS (perhaps with rebirth). I tried The Elliot garage and The others and i don't like them. But those booms need ableton Link more than audiobus 3 :(

  • Such a fun app, glad to see it get updated! :D

  • Can anyone comment on how the Boom 808 and 909 apps compare to the DR-8 and DR-9 instruments in this app?

Rhythm Sudio is better obviously because you get both and a few synths to go with it. Also RS is universal so you can use it on the iPhone. The other apps aren't.

Sound wise, Very similar but with the addition of swing, compressor and overdrive controls on the main interface. They really are the best 808 and 909 on iOS..
