LayR Multi Timbral Synth Cinematic Demo for iPad Just Amazing Sounds

Here is a demo of some of the amazing sounds and patches included in the new LayR update, to me this sounds as brilliant as any desktop DAW

  • Well, from the creative point it is top notch and on par with desktop class hybrid patches like i get with Logic, yes (or however i could say that).
The only thing where no sound designer could change that. The FX makes it all a bit muddy and not detailed sometimes.
But with some better extern FX i think those patches would be ready for a blockbuster theme ;)

...but before it sounds too negative. I have to say that these are the best synth patches i heard yet from all iOS things (beside Alchemy....oh and Model 15). Very well done!!

    They really are cool patches.

But yah, I do find myself lately trying to set things up more for recording/exporting dry and then using juicier fx elsewhere. Amazing the difference it makes. Things have come a long way on iOS but damn, can't beat good dedicated reverb, chorus vsts etc.

Yes, the FX (for me) even makes the most important part often. But of course some rare synths offer it all in one package and a way way far ahead anything on iOS.
I also prefer to layer anyway different tools f.e. to and make layerd pads, FX and soundscapes. It mostly sound so much better than any single tools ever could do. It´s the reason i use less iOS because if i have to export sounds i can directly us my desktop synths. I want better FX inside iOS to direct use it or just record audio with modulated FX into Logic ;)
But hell, those patches are so nice and i´m now finally tempted to buy LayR, not sure if i can create my own sound on my iPhone without breaking my fingers :p :#
I also would really like to share some patches for it. No t even sure if my iPhone 6S cpu is enough for really complex patches.
