life: first impressions
ok so i finally got the life app, been using it now for 30 odd years, here's some initial thoughts.
really not liking the UI, seems unintuitive with a steep learning curve. and rly, it's 2017 and still no save or pause????
like a lot of other users out there, been waiting for a proper update forever now, so much stuff (cancer, inequality etc.) still left unresolved, i fear the next patch will be all show, once again.
the price/value ratio is terrible. there's no fly mode (except with expensive add-ons you need to re-purchase every time!), the underwater feature lasts for mere minutes at best (and that's with, you guessed it, in-app purchases)...i could go on all night.
the user community is kind of nice but sometimes super hostile tbh.
really hope there'll be separate midi out ports coming soon. i mean i'm not saying being alive isn't a killer feature, but they could do so much more with it, esp. for ipad pro.

What OS you running?
I am on North American Generation X Male Edition. Naturally, all of my Hopes and Dreams IAP were downloaded in the early to mid 90s but it took me until the past five years to realise they were completely corrupt and never ran properly.

Well, I myself am stuck as a Millenial model with a cynical Gen X OS. I knew I had to downgrade to a more mature OS when the Millenial one kept crashing due to oversensitivity issues.
I hate the subscription models in life (taxes and bills). Very difficult to keep up with those. Can't taxes simply be a one-time thing?
It seems the US mainframe gets updated every 4-8 years. However, the current mainframe (titled "Code Orange") is severely failing. We need to replace it quickly before it badly glitches, erases our virus protections, and subjects us to millions of pre-2000s blue screens and needless firewalls.
So, how many of you like to stream your movies using Cinema? :P Might be expensive, but it's a one-time expense after all.

Seems to have made a lot of beginners mistake.
Still has a lot of supporters for v2, which is supposed to be seriously good. So good that they want all users to stop using v1, weather they like it or not.

I really like the app. I've found it extremely addictive, often richly rewarding; occasionally frustrating, but that seems to be the nature of it. Love booting it up every day and digging in - there's always tons of new features. Five stars.
