FTW: MOST UNRECOGNIZED MONSTER SYNTH is:

I LOVE THIS SYNTH

Dev said not enough interest to continue work on it.

SO SAD.

MONSTER FUCKING SYNTH

Comments

  • I never tries it but always thought it looked really original. Kind of a sunvox signal flow with really unique processing capabilities

  • It's 64bit though isn't it?

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • I think part of the problem was the GUI. It doesn't look like a powerful synth so people underestimated it.

It is 64bit, and pretty stable tho CPU intensive

  • Name of said monster?

  • Never mind: I have this: ZedSynth.
Hmmm... I guess that means it is indeed unappreciated. Ooops!

  • FabFilter Twin2
I know, I know it's in Auria Pro, but when AP is on sale, look at it as a superpowerful Synth with amazingly good recording options, on the more expensive side.
FF Twin 2 is really deep and powerful with loads of options and massive modulation possibilities. And it sounds awsome.

Unfortunately no Link and only AB2 support (with state saving).
Deep synth in more than one way. Lot of functionality and details, the UI is a long, long strip with detailed controls. Resonator, special mallet control and convexity on envelopes.
Maybe someone can have a word with the developer about resuming the project. I would buy new version from him.

I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it got ab3 support. Even more so if it got link.

    Agree totally!
I already have it and would not hesitate to buy a new version from scratch.
@RustiK mentioned that the developer is somewhat disappointed with the reception that Zed got. I simply think that perhaps little "raw" first look led to that people didn't really test out the capabilities. I also think that forum like this is very useful to filter tools that are worth considering. Zed is in my opinion one of those. The market is maturing and good synths have much better change of standing out now than few moons ago and we know what must be included to get semi-instabuy and we can broadcast that easily.

  • This synth is great but the UI is what stops me from playing around with it. It's like a Ferrari engine in a Lada body.

  • IF YOU LOVE THE APP OR WANT TO LOVE THE APP EMAIL THE DEVELOPER AND TELL HIM.

My interaction with him gave me impression if the app had a base of people and some new buyers we could convince him to rize to the occasion and get back on the app.

  • Oh it' s an old one but it' s enough unique indeed.I like The oscilloscopes , The Sound and The gui ...And you CAN use it as an effect plug in too .Maybe abandonned like a dog before holidays :(

Something in that direction and what I mean in my post as "raw" first look. The graphic could get a facelift and if people still tested further, I'm not convinced that all the control and features were obvious. The conclusion is that the main thing, quality of the synth, never got a change to shine.

True, it's a damn shame as it is a really good engine.

  • If i remember correctly this app was IOS8 and up, so I actually upgraded for this app.

He updated and made improvements with the app prior, so maybe we can convince him.

Well worth the buy anyway for a synth this good.

    AND ITS AN FX

    AND UNIVERSAL!

Using Littlewood's approach of an old ipad and apps, I will keep this AIR 1 forever just for apps like this.

  • best practice :+1:

I also upgraded to specifically buy Zed.
Also, IIRC, it was, at that time, my most expensive synth purchase.

  • Just stumbled upon Grit....has soon killer dubstep patches built in but links to nothing, not much depth other than tweaking the patch your using, and has clearly been abandonded...too bad because it sounds amazing

Nanostudio's Eden with each track set to the same MIDI Channel. The original Layr. ;)

I'll say it again, they should just release Eden as a standalone synth because it sounds so damn good.

Right you are, Dr. I wonder how the CPU drain compares...
