Rediscovered Addictive Synth

Hadn't opened the original Addictive synth app for probably 2-3 years now ... today was highly inspired with the sounds. I had forgotten how nice it was - especially great at pads and the arp is among the best.

I love it when you rediscover old apps. It's like getting a new one in a way.

  • You got me to reload this one. (And actually a few others). You're right, it's like getting new ones. I'm different than when I first tried them out, so now they're different. Addictive is one of the early first tier iOS synths (that also wasn't a port from vst). Even though there's a Pro now, the original is still a humdinger of an instrument.

As we were muttering about elsewhere, it's also interesting/fun to go back to the well with new effects and/or workflows etc in your tool belt and see what difference they make....

  • When the number of good apps increases, one starts to compare app against app instead of app against VST as it was in the beginning which was of course not apples vs apples. And we appreciate better what was really possible early on after all.

  • I went back to it a couple of weeks ago, and rediscovered how much I love the Early Mister Glass preset and arp. Good stuff.

It was one of my first apps, but I bought Pro later. Still have both.
Do you know if it's possible to transfer the patches from Addictive to Addictive Pro?
