edited July 2017 in General App Discussion

The update just out for FLS Mobile is HOSED. Instacrash on iPhone 5s and iPad Air 2, iOS 10.3.2. At least one other user on the FLMobile thread has reported the same.

[Edit] Update fixed the insta crash.

  • He's right. I'm a mug for not checking here first. Instacrash (even after a reboot). 12.9/latest.

  • Same here. 6s+, newest iOS

  • works flawless on ios 11

Thanks for your feedback. We are aware of this issue and will post an update ASAP.

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

This is only affecting some iOS devices, we are trying to work out why.

    Regards Scott

  • Might it not have been better to work out why BEFORE releasing it?

  • Wanna bet someone released the wrong build? If it's working on iOS 11, I wouldn't be surprised if someone blew it when selecting the version to post.

and they will fix it ASAP again :p
i bet they do have a keyboard shortcut for ASAP in their browsers. because they fix it all ASAP - they never get it done in the first place on release but fix it ASAP!
that's why we get livetime free updates from IL because they fix their shit ASAP and this takes a will.

That's part of the reason Devs ask for beta testers.

    Indeed bad crashes

I find the implementation clunky. Only Redshrike worked as expected. Other synths I tried made no sound.

  • Laplace works as well.

So assuming you have an IAA that works, can you now sequence them from FLSM and have the audio go through its mixer allowing you do then layer up (using the stack) with other synths and FX ?

    Yes

  • Will get back to you on that....

  • The latest from ImageLine. It looks like the problem is identified (crashes when more than 64 IAA apps installed on the device) and a fix submitted.

    Thanks for letting us know.

The problem: A variable was set so the maximum number of Apps that could be listed for IAA/Audiobus was 64. If this was exceeded, and the list was read at startup, FL Studio Mobile will crash.

So, only people with more than 64 Apps installed will experience this crash. No-one on staff or testers other than you had this loadout.

3.1.59 has been submitted to the App store and will be live within the next 24 hours we hope.

    Regards Scott

Looks like @Biancaneve is on it over at the ImageLine forum. o:)

  • Looks like AB forum members are more appaholic than the average user given the number of crashes here.....

    What's New in Version 3.1.58

    • New IAA and Audiobus module (IAA/Audiobus)
    • DirectWave, .dwp (monolithic presets) are now supported.
    • Playlist clips now don't move until selected (no unwanted clips moving).
    • DirectWave loads samples faster.
    • New demos
    • Developer logging mode in Settings
    • Bugfixes & stability improvements.
  • thanks wim

And I wish we can see this Edison Midi also..

Edit... We do need a simple midi recorder for AB3... with 'send to' features..

  • Do we need even more demos that we can't even delete?.
