BM3: how's the midi editor?
how easy is it to change velocity, length, position and pitch of an event? their manual does not show too much in this regards.

Still gotta use it some more. But not as good as I hoped. Cubasis and Gadget are better in my opinion so far. But only played a bit.
I'm having a real hard time editing midi patterns. Anyone have any tips?
This is the clunky part and very space wasted. Have to look st a small window and have to zoom in to see it. Bm2 had it easy for us. Should of stuck with that piano roll to me. but this has to many touch here to touch here. Some preset sounds and instruments would of been killer with the option to delete. Kind of kills the vibe when your having to search for sounds in other apps.
After sleeping on it waking up in middle of night to try again then sleeping on it again once i imported my library it is getting better. Still to many touches when trying to edit midi but I'm getting comfy now. It's a winner though!

I find that velocity, pitch and note length and position are all pretty good for the most part but at the moment are very compromised by the following bug...
PATTERN view fails to recall display configuration properly.
To Reproduce: set your PATTERN view to a desired zoom level with the 'PATTERN AUTOMATIONS' turned off. Now simply jump back and forth between SONG and PATTERN view. Within a few toggles you will see the PATTERN zoom changes on you. If you toggle the 'PATTERN AUTOMATIONS' window a few times (leaving it off), set your zoom/position in the PATTERN view and once again toggle back and forth between SONG and PATTERN you will find the 'Pattern Automations' window will force itself back on despite you having turned it off previously.
Expected Behaviour: The PATTERN view should maintain the user specified zoom, pan and 'PATTERN MIDI', 'PATTERN AUTOMATIONS' view state.
Tested on iPad 2017 iOS 10.3.1
I've only played around for a few hours but on my IPad Pro 9.7 it's so smooth! TBH I'm trying not to compare with BM2 and approach it like an all new app and I'm in love!
It seems like if you select the top horizontal dotted line that it consistently works.
Dayum! Using these dotted lines for moving and lengthing notes works better too, sweet! You can be zoomed way the hell out and easily change note length.
Its acting strange some times. I can't draw new notes near the previous note. I have to tap a few bars away for drawing a new note and then I have to drag the new note near the previous.
And sometimes it deletes an existing note when tapping on it and sometimes not.
I guess I need a few more hours of practice.
It's better than BM2 but no where as good as Gadget or Modstep. I hope they update the view to be less fidgety and fussy.
Right now you really have to poke poke poke poke to get it to do anything predictable.
Honestly they should have just copied modstep or gadgets Midi editor
Nice call on editing with dotted lines
I would hope that everyone would copy a little from everyone else, Beatmaker, Gadget, Modstep, Cubasis, GarageBand, Machine and even MPC Pro! Let's end this silly feud. Yall need to learn to copy each other and stop reinventing the damn wheel.
Edit Honourable mentions to Caustic for having a decent little piano roll too. Just wish it would work better with AudioShare and IAA/AB.
