I will wait until the sampling engine of BM3 gets a major upgrade. ( expected so many more features
)
I will miss mostly the IAA/AU fx and the upgraded filters
I am missing the same features, too.
On the other hands: Waiting maybe is a bit like loosing opportunities (i mean: a special price now).
Does anyone know what the price will go up to?
I bought both and maybe I'll going to use the last... or ditch it like the other.
I have more hope this time for sure.
I think 40 bucks but that is still a bargain when you think about it.
BM2 was my main DAW for a few years now, as far as I can see there's no feature of BM2 missing in BM3, so no disadvantage. Some things are a bit fiddly to find out (how to import audio tracks or how to record IAA apps driven by BM2 midi, for example), but they are there. Advantage is of course the use of AU instruments and AU/IAA effects and a much better folder structure. Also, as I tend to do more and more live setups, the new scenes view looks very cool to me.
Well I stopped buying apps that don't have all the features I want . If the developers implement the stuff I want I will buy it the full price .
Basically I want BM3 get the all the sampling options of Geist2 desktop app.
@Dubbylabby I don't think BM2 will be further developed
Like any new program you think twice but for me flawless au use and instrument creation is worth it. Bm2 had some things right like for me piano role but intua is the future on iOS and that bm3 is a must.
@Korakios maybe I expressed myself wrong, sorry...
I was trying to say related to the poll options that I bought BM2 and never use it but even that I feel interested in BM3. I hope it will has more use in my setup than the BM2 (which I don't regret)
Intua has been very brave and deserves trust (even with the release drama)
I can understand some lacking features like Logic Pro X vs 9. People got crazy about missing features but to enroll new users and fit the actual market (shifted into prosumers) devs need to think twice roadmaps. When your app is 20 vs 50 (Auria, gadget) or 150 vs +300 (cubase, Ableton...) the new users are more important than the old which could be covered by successive updates (like Logic and Final Cut shown us).
Die hard users will be complaining with better or worst actitude but at last the app will offer the tools anyone could need nowadays at that price range and could keep the old alongside (if Apple plays fair of course).
Only disadvantage I see is that I've got BM2 on my iPhone 6 Plus...
No iPad here, and I've used BM2 enough to justify throwing $20 at them even if BM3 doesn't end up going universal. (I'm sure it will based on their statements, the issue is when.)
No Midi Export 'Yet' in BM3?
Wow...
I find BM3 ten times easier to navigate and find ny way around in, barely had to crack the manual at all compared to BM2.
