I have $50 in my itunes store but it deducts from my credit card?
I bought BM3 and have $50 credit in the store, but it took the money from my credit card and left my itunes app credit untouched?!
Anyone got any ideas how and why this happenend?

Are you buying the apps as a gift?
That will charge you rather than use you iTunes credit.
i had this happen once before. i entered the itunes card code into my phone. and purchased an app on my ipad. it charges my credit card. then i logged out and back in to itunes in both devices then it started deducting it from my itunes credits. log out of itunes and then back in so that it can refresh you credit.

I am having this same problem. I tried logging out of iTunes, the AppStore, the entire iCloud account under Settings. I even updated iOS to the latest version. No joy. It still is trying to change my credit card, even though I have a substantial iTunes card balance.
Anyone have a solution? I'd like to buy Beatmaker 3 while I can still get the intro price-- last day! Help!
OK, I found the solution.
It was asking me to verify my CC info (basically asking me to put in the 3-digit security code). It had never done that before, and I was afraid it would change my credit card, so I kept canceling, hoping it would just change the iTunes gift card balance like it is supposed to.
Finally, I decided to give in and enter what it was asking for. I figured I could always dispute the charge, if necessary. I crossed my fingers, hit send, and the Beatmaker 3 purchase went thru.
I rebooted the App Store and checked my gift card balance and (whew) it deducted it from the iTunes gift card balance and did NOT change my credit card.
Apparently Apple just needed to verify that I had a valid credit card -- EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NOT NEEDED FOR THE PURCHASE!

Anyway, the moral of the story is: If you run into this problem, fear not. Go ahead and give them the credit card information they are asking for. Your card won't be charged and the purchase will still be deducted from your iTunes gift card balance as always.
