AUv3's popped up on the desktop version of Gadget so half of the work is already done :)

Really? Have I missed an update to the desktop version?

    Have the instated Milpatus yet?

Yep, Korg released it a month or two ago as well as adding instrument descriptions to the AU name (e.g. "Chicago (Acid Bass)" or "Lexington (Odyssey)"). It made a big difference.

Gadget still doesn't HOST plugins on either platform, though. What people mean is that the Gadgets are available to use as AUs in other DAWs.

Oh ok. Thanks guys. I thought you meant it could host AUs.

stormy! You buried the lead! The guy has another video showing how to run MULTIPLE GADGETS in BM3.

My question. Now that I have, say, Lexington on a Pad...how do I play that Pad in BM3?

    Sweeeeeeeeeeet - thanks both

  • I'm not sure this is germane, but within Gadget only Marseille has the option to write midi chords (although if you use it to write chords, you can substitute another gadget and the midi chords will remain).

Don't all of the synthesizers now have chord play and the arpeggio option?

  • Still trying to figure out how to use BM3's chord function with Gadget instruments? Anyone able to hear more than single notes?

    Bm3 running gadget

Great tutorial, thanks a lot for the info. I'm trying to get the chord function to work with Gadget. Only getting single notes after I choose the chords option inside BM3. Still no go if I choose chords inside the gadget instrument. Any ideas on how to get polyphonic sounds.

Every gadget that isn't a drum machine or monophonic has a chord function. Find it in the scale button. Same with arpeggios. (That extra chord button drives me so crazy!!!)

Yes! I remember stumbling upon that in submenus in some gadget. Thanks for the reminder.

New presets for 9 gadgets... interesting. I'm gonna wait for others to update first though.

  • The 9 Gadgets with the new Factory 2 presets are: Phoenix, Chiangmai, Berlin, Chicago, Helsinki, Kingston, Kiev, Dublin, and Wolfsburg. Between 20 to 40 or so new presets for each of these 9 Gadgets. Some have 20 some have 30 and some have about 40 in the new Factory 2 banks. Always nice for some good quality presets to be added and to breath new/more life into Gadget. Hope the Mac version updates soon too. Nice small update but still nice.

  • Helsinki presets are nice!
