IOS thinks USB mic is a speaker
My iPad mini 4 thinks my AKG Perception 120 is a speaker, not a microphone. Any tips for sorting this out?

I have all sort of odd issues with mics sometimes using my audio interface and finding cleanest signal that ALSO SATISFIES iOS device.
So, I have found that when I don't have the studio mic hooked up I use the iPhone with the audioshare app and AU applied to the recording and sing aloud with the headphones in the audio interface with the music.
Seperating my vocals from the track itself literally at first.
It has been much easier to test ideas out.
I wish I could get that far.
I am beginning to suspect that there is nothing I can tweak here and that I'm heading for ebay with it.
Thanks for replying !
it might ease your pain that there are better USB microphones than this model
(even the non-usb version has unusually bad reviews)
Aye, it was one of the first USB mics available when I bought it for my mac. It isn't great. I never tried attaching it to the iPad before. I won't be trying again; I am pretty sure now that it is not compatible, though I cannot find any 'official' statement to that effect.
