BM3 slice drum loop —> export wav?
Is this possible? I'm hoping to use to Alice drum loops for one shots in other apps. Thanks!

slice drum loops!
Yes, you can certainly do this with BM3 but you may need to covert the file from aif to wav format with another app like AudioShare if you use the save as aif option. You can easily zoom to sample level, add in silence, do fade in, fade out on a section of the sample. You'll need to consult the manual as saving a specific slice isn't as intuitive as you'd think. If you import multiple samples into AudioShare, BM3 will create a zip file of the samples which is convenient. The app doesn't have transient detection yet as in the beta it didn't meet the developer's expectations though they're planning to add it into the app in an update.
I've found doing manual slice setting frequently works best for me and involves creating progressively smaller slices for editing where I copy a smaller section to multiple pads and trim the sample to what I want and add fades if needed. This can create intermediary sample files so that when I'm done, I end up renaming samples and add them to a new bank then delete the intermediates and keep the original longer sample in case I want to reslice a sample. There is the option to save a bank with samples. I'm sure this isn't the most efficient way of creating kit samples, but it works well for me.
I'll be using my iPad two to sample synths that don't make it to iOS 11.
So I've got my slices as separate pads but how do I export these individual hits from BM3? Is there any other manual than the QuickStart guide?
You can trim the samples on each pad in the sample editor after you've sliced them, save the bank with a different name if you want to preserve the sliced bank and choose save samples to bank. You can then go into documents find the bank and its sample folder, edit, select the sample folder and export it. The app will create a zip file that any apps which support zip "open in" functionality can use.
Alternatively, you can open the sample folder, select an individual sample and open in any app that supports "open in" functionality for this audio type. You can also transfer the folder to another location. If you do so, you'll end up breaking your bank and will get an error message similar to the screen shot. If you want to save your samples to a different location and also want to preserve your bank with the individual sample files per pad, then create a new bank from the bank with samples per pad, move the second bank's samples to their new location and then delete this second bank (since it'll be broken and you have the first bank).
Saving samples to another location in BM3 would allow you to rename samples so they make more sense for how you're using them. For example the sorting order is not ideal as pad 10's sample comes after sample pad 1's sample rather than after pad 9's sample. You may want specific names for each sample rather than OriginalSliceFileName-#. You may want the sample's note to be part of the sample name for use in other apps. It can mean coming up with a better name for the file you're going to slice before you slice it, save the slices to pads, trim the slice, . . .

Thanks for the in depth answer, much appreciated
will try this tonight!
