For Sebastian: Am I right to think..
that with IAA Audiobus will count as an IAA capable app as well, so the output stream of a whole AB chain may be available for IAA?
That and the preset management you sketched out for AB would make IAA and AB a powerful combo. I could design Preset Chains which I could then introduce over IAA into a DAW app.
Will this be possible?

We've been working on an update to the Audiobus SDK that switches from our proprietary tech to Inter-App Audio instead but up until the Golden Master of iOS 7 there were still some bugs that disallowed us from finishing that work. They're fixed now though.
Before we've done some more testing on it I don't feel comfortable talking about the capabilities/features of that new SDK/implementation. Whenever we announce something people place huge expectations on us and we're really trying hard not to disappoint people, so we're cautious with announcing anything publicly.
Sorry, but that's all I can say right now.
I am curious, no worries, well see when it hits the light. Hows the video coming along (eMail Topic)?
So what will be the benefit of Audiobus if you are replacing your proprietary tech with Inter-app audio in Audiobus? It sounds very redundant to me....
@OliverImseng - I like where you are headed with that thought. Allowing chains of effects with audiobus instead of just single effects would be cool - especially with a preset and/or multi input/output support option in Audiobus. My brain already hurts. Lol.
So does Inter-App audio rely on having a DAW based app involved? Or could I use Ampkit as a plugin for Jamup or vice versa to add additional effects?
Better documentation (for developers), no additional UI to implement for app switching (for developers), <can't talk about it yet>, <can't talk about it yet>, better discovery of compatible apps, more compatible apps.
@Sebastian Thanks for the info! :-)
@Sebastian: Oh, and don't forget: iOS6 support.
@j_liljedahl: I actually forgot about that. Thanks. 's been a long day.
PS:
Ah, one more: the Audiobus connection panel can actually contain pretty much any trigger. Inter App Audio doesn't have a connection panel and if implemented manually can only switch back to the host (not other nodes) and provide very basic transport controls (play, stop, record).
Plus, no animated triggers
