@brambos This looks very nice ! Any ETA?

  • Great!

  • Excellent!

  • Hey now!

  • If the sequencer is as good as TM and RM, it'll go directly into my workflow.

Its not exactly the kind of sequencer you expect. But it's right up my alley. Like something I've dreamt of having but is now built in. Although if @brambos listened to all my suggestions it might have become too complicated for the people that aren't me lol.
Both ruismakers are getting this sequencer btw.

@brambos I love the fact that while you showed a glimpse of the sequencer you didn't really show what it is XD

  • I hope this is an indication that we will see a brambos sequencer one day. Afaic, a multiple instance ab3 drum and synth sequencer would help a lot in the ios world and doesnt look like it would be so different (careat that I dont have a clue!)

  • Looks really cool. Keep up the good work! :)

Some virtual rack host for these apps(and other aus as well) would be really cool. Like you could stack these from up to down with each having its own sequencer on left or right and maybe have more pages to the right where you could host au effects to.

  • I swear on my favorite dog that I was going to also ask Bram about this when I emailed him earlier this am about Ripple.

  • I think we can expect a 'twist' in this sequencer as well :)
I do wonder if it also includes parameter automation per step?(that would take it to crazy-town).
(If it does it would mean we can at extremes have a different sound for every step for every pad).

It's twisted all right. It's not a normal sequencer at all. No automation per step. But it's normal operation is more along some of my experiments. If you want a normal sequencer you will still need to use a daw. But for those ready to accept something non standard they will be pleasantly surprised. Plus. It has a random button. :3

P.S:- it already plugs into a version of my ruismaker multi out rack. The Ab3 preset is already ready. Will post it once the updates go live :)

  • The Random Button loves you all, and you'll all come to love the Random Button.

ETA: a few weeks. It's almost finished, but the family would like to go on summer vacation so I'll be off for a bit B)

  • mind you there is a bit of change to the sound character in the new ruismakers. so if anyone has legacy projects where they want to maintain the sound exactly it would be a good time to start rendering to audio. Its ok if i mention this right @brambos ? otherwise i will edit this post.

  • Fantastic! I'm always trying to figure out a way to use rm and hadn't bought rm fm due to that.

We love the mutation button, too! Just sayin...

  • I love 'random' buttons

there is mutation per layer. much better than a button. :3

The original too (not FM)? If so, can you expand on this sound character change?

Nothing major. The overall sound is a bit more polished. And the volume/level controls are now logarithmic rather than linear - which is more natural than what it used to be. But this means that levels in projects containing Ruismaker will sound a bit different after updating.

    Intriguing!

  • I love the look of this, so will it work as an AB3 midi sender?

Is this the first steps towards IOS11 with sequencer built in to the AUs ?

Before I put sequencers in a plugin I first want to see how (and which) hosts are going to handle it. A plugin without a host to run it in is not very useful. And so far all we have is just a slide in a Keynote presentation to go on. I've been Apple's guinee pig before ;)

E.g. depending on how hosts are going to support this it may be more useful to make dedicated sequencer AUs and keep the synths also separate. That way you can make much more flexible setups; but if hosts have other ideas about routing between AUs it won't fly.

  • Best news is along time. Thank you.
