Notion handwriting recognition IAP
I purchased the Notion hand writing recognition utility as an add on to notion from within Notion on my iPad Pro. Now I would also like to add it to Notion running on my ordinary iPad. How can I do this without paying again? I am logged into the same Apple ID on both devices, but I keep getting a message about buying the iAÀ app from the iPad.

Is there a restore purchases button? If not, then when you get that message and you click yes, it is supposed to then give you a message that you've already bought it and asks you if you then want to download/ install it. That's what is supposed to happen...unless it's actually a separate IAP for the pro to incorporate the pencil? I don't know that because I don't have the pro.
No restore purchase button, but I may take a chance and just say yes to the "buy" button. Hopefully it will ask for my ID at that point so I can back out if necessary (or it will say you already own this and download it).

Update: I clicked on the "buy" button and I was prompted for the password for my Apple ID, so I declined the purchase. I will contact Notion to see what they can do.

Update with solution: You have to click on SOUNDS, then STORE, then the restore purchases button appears. After I did that, the handwriting recognition worked, even though this feature isn't really a "sound." It's not intuitive, but I'm happy now.

I haven't found much in notion that is intuitive for me.
I love notion. What else is there on the iPad?
You got it working?

Notion and Symphony Pro are my favourite all time apps. I even got the desktop version on my Mac. With the string packages it's sounding great, down to the smallest violin quirk
Mastering writing notes makes the best workflow ever. In early years I always relied on an instrument when I copied down things, but I seriously trained until I just wrote Musik like words. The hardest thing for me was to train my mind to hear chords, not arpeggiated, but clustered.
I hope you have a nice time composing with Notion. Buy the Wagner Horn sound. You won't regret it

Glad you got it sorted out, is the handwriting addition good, does it improve workflow.
The handwriting addition is amazingly accurate if you are writing simple notation - whole notes, quarter notes, eighth notes, etc. It seems to be less accurate when things get complicated (triplets, complicated note patterns, but that may be do to my inexperience). There is a slight pause from the time you write to the time the conversion is made. I like that fact that you can zoom into the page - magnifying the staff allows you to be a little sloppy, and you don't need an Apple pencil.
I'm still a paper and pencil guy when it comes to writing notation, but I am really going to try using Notion and the handwriting app to see if I can make that work. I grew up in the 80's, and the ability to pay $8 to have a flat tablet in my hand recognize my handwriting to create a simple score that can be played back instantly is magic to me.

@scarletjerry thanks.
I can’t get the Handwriting in app purchase. It times out. Current iPad, iOS 12.
