  • If you're that concerned about battery usage, just buy a rechargeable to bring with you.

  • My Air 2 can't stay fully charged even if plugged in while I am using it.

  • Since updating my iPhone SE battery life has plunged - takes twice as long to charge too.

My point was, that Apple tends to change things - and often, this is a bad idea.

With the former method of resetting the battery stats, you could for example easily see if some background task (App) which is NOT visible in the taskmanager is still alive and eating battery!

In this case, you can then restart the device and everything is fine again!

Sadly, i do not know any App that allows to see such tasks - i only ever used the battery statistic for this.

And this possibility is gone now!

    THANK YOU, Apple
    :-(

Heh. Just assume there's always background crap going on and clear out every time you use any music apps.

You don't have to reboot. Just close all apps, hold down the power button until the slider comes up, then let go and press the home button until you get back to the home screen. It takes less than a minute and works wonders. You will have far fewer audio app glitches and pretty much guarantee no ghost apps sucking down your battery.
