Samplr vs ReSlice?
Both are great, but which one do you prefer and why? Which one would you use as a stand alone and why, and which would you use in a DAW and why? Just curios.

Why do you ask?
lol * Curious
Way different.
Samplr is a "touch" app for me on my no midi connection iPad I use with my other.
Reslice is on my MIDI controller iPad.
So, to me way different worlds.
And in functionality as well.
Samplr has more soul.
ReSlice has more ........."machine" vibe?
That is my easy difference.
Different beasts, but personally I prefer ReSlice as I can get a quick and whacky groove going with it.
I don't have reslice but have a generally understanding of what it does. I have samplr and it's awesome! I use samplr as a stand alone as it lacks ableton link, I'm not even sure of its controllability from a daw but I'd imagine it would not be very useful due to the way it records performance, which is basically just by recording your finger touches and movement on the screen. It's really good for experimentation and playing samples in different ways. Reslice looks like a whole different beast, with Au3 it would definitely be good to use in a daw and I'm sure midi control would be pretty flexible??? I'll probably get it eventually but I'm focusing on learning what I have better
Well I saw in another post, where a few people said they were getting more things done in Samplr than they were in other apps.... Now I bought Samplr a while back and I do remember I liked a lot of things about it, so I decided to give it a revisit... And to be honest, after not using it so long, going back to it, it seemed like it was a LOT of things I had to figure out again. Now I also have ReSLice, which I like but I really havent used a lot since buying it, in fact, I havent really used it in any songs. To be honest, I'm wondering how and what people are doing with Samplr, would love to hear what people have done with it as well, especially as a stand alone.
Seems like you are doing a lot of not using........LOL
Do what feels good.
If you want to do it.
Do it in the road.
lol, i think youre missing the point a little... Im not asking you which one should I use, am asking which one do YOU use and why? That's if you use any of them at all? lol
Silly rabbit, BOTH!
Both are awesome!
Used both but Reslice more as its AU and plays congas pretty cool!
Samplr is more musical and rewards unselfconscious experimentation. ReSlice rewards the ability to curate happy accidents.
Samplr --> more of a performer
Reslice --> more of a generator
I have both. Samplr is a classic, one of my favorite apps of all time. Haven't spent much time with ReSlice.
This is a great demonstration of what's possible with Samplr.
