AKAI APC 25... changing midi thingies
So I bought this thing and to be honest it's brilliant for Ableton Live, but before purchase, I assumed the launch clip buttons were able to be re-assigned in other apps (like how the MPK Mini can).
Unfortunately, when plugged into anything on iOS, the launch buttons become key notes and they are not reassignable apparently.
Is there any "hack" or something simple I'm missing so that I can reassign the buttons?
If not I think I'm gonna look into the Arturia MiniLab2

A big disappointment for me too.
It's totally useless, it is stuck on midi channel 2 but you can learn it the 8 pots to apps. But always on midi channel 2.
What is "professional " about it is beyond me.
With a bit of work from Akai it could have been a nice controller with midi channels assignable pads etc...
There is a script by http://www.nativekontrol.com/Arsenal_APK.html
See if it has any appeal
I mean, TBH it's a great controller. I mainly use Ableton and it's great for that, but since getting AUM on iOS and now BM3, I've been doing more on the iPad and just wished I can properly utilize those 56 extra buttons.
The software looks cool but not what I need.
Does remapping them with MidiFlow _IAP not work for this?
Midibridge has also a remapping feature.
