puc+ bluetooth midi interface - compatible USB controllers?
I'm curious to learn how widely used the puc+ midi interface is in the iOS music community.
I just purchased one specifically to be able to connect my usb midi controllers - Akai MPD218 and NI Komplete Kontrol S61 - via the USB connection (the 5 pin cable is working fine with the S61) to my ipad (running Cubasis, BM3). The S61 is powered and the MP218 is bus powered, but even connecting e.g. a powered usb hub to the PUC+ there is no midi being sent from the MPD218. No midi being sent from the S61 either even though it is powered. To my understanding, the MPD218 shouldn't necessarily require to be powered, since the apple camera connection adapter when connected directly to the ipad feeds enough power to the MPD218 when it is connected in "low power mode" (holding down note repeat when connecting cable). The only controller I have that has successfully been working via USB midi is the bus-powered Akai MPK mini (mk1).
As the MPD218 and Komplete Kontrol S61 are quite common midi controllers, I was expecting them to work and I am wondering if I'm doing something wrong.
I'd be happy to hear of anyone successfully using their puc+ with a usb controller, even specifically the MPD218 or the NI KK S61. Cheers.

Comments
Just checking if anyone here has had any success with an Akai MPD controller connected to a PUC+ via USB?
Even powering (5V/2.1A) the MPD via the Y-cable (making sure that the MPD receives enough power) won't get it to transmit any midi signals to the PUC+.
Thanks for any comments / observations.
Ok - after having been in contact with Zivix's awesome customer support, they finally solved the issue I was having with the Akai MPD218 controller. I understand that the fix is through a firmware update, which is yet to be released. I was sent a puc+ on which they tested and installed the firmware update, and I can confirm that it is working perfectly for me now.
Well that is certainly excellent customer service.
Is it difficult/time consuming to set up? How’s the latency. Thinking of this or iConnectivity Mio
