Is there a looper app that can load Audio Units?

I’m looking for something to replace the amazing Blocs Wave, because my iPAd is running ios 11 beta (for work), and I can’t use BW. Specifically, I want to slice up my loops. Is there an looper that lets me load an AU slicer?

  • ReSlice --> AB --> Looper of your choice...?

  • check out LP-5. 2 fx slots and midi control.

I want to record a loop, and then use a slicer to tweak it right there in the same app. But yes, AB might be the answer.

  • BM3, but it lacks a simple looping interface. @Dubbylabby's suggestion is probably easier.

  • BM3 can do that pretty easily IMO... At least, I use it this way...

    BlocsWave?
    Shit! Loopverse?

  • MidiSTEPs can load AU. But it’s technically a sequencer, not a live looper. BM3 is probably you’re best bet.

  • Looperverse looks great, but it doesn’t let me run a loop through a slicer app.

BM3 would likely be worth a try, but it won’t launch on my iPad right now, thanks to the beta I’m running g.

  • Quantiloop can have AU sound sources

  • I just saw that Quantiloop can sit in the FX chain of ToneStack, which solves another “problem” I had.

  • It looks like Quantiloop can sit on the FX chain of ToneStack, which solves another “problem” I was having.

I'll be interested to hear how that works for you. I've had multiple issues running IAA apps in the FX chain of Tonestack. Hope Quantiloop works for you!

  • Don't tell Michael, but I really want Loopy Pro to host AU effects whenever it comes out. Just dreaming.

In the meantime, I may see what Beatmaker 3 can do. Is there a list of MIDI bindings for BM3 loop recording functions?

I don't know if it would address your issue, but here's some food for thought. AUM can be hosted within Looperverse, and AUv3's like ReSlice within it. Maybe this would work for Looperverse or other apps that can host IAA, but not AUv3?

Wait, can BM3 be used for live looping?
Well, at least, is it possible to map the 'input record' button via midi?

Sorry, my bad... I missed the 'live' part in the request... I'm never going live stuff so I don't know.

There is a focus action for the record button in the transport but I haven't seen one for the input record.
