Waaaay OT: What is Everyone Reading?
Me:
In The Garden of Beasts by Erik Larson. A nonfiction novel about the American ambassador to Germany in 1933.
Everything Is Combustible by Richard Lloyd. A memoir by the guitar genius. Mine is an advance copy, but it will be on the shelves in August.
I recommend both of these books.
How about you?

Sheet music.
Nautilus magazine.
The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell. Not his very best, but still an enjoyable diversion.

Are you enjoying it?
Is that about bodybuilding or ocean life?
What would you recommend (other than Cloud Atlas) by him?
'Friends of the dusk' by Phil Rickman. He's local and throws in loads of Herefordshire/Mid Wales references which helps me to picture his stories.
The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet is probably my favourite of his.
The Crystal Cave by Mary Stewart
It has its tentacles in science. It is a brilliant read. Pulled me back into print subscriptions. nautil.us/issue/51/limits

Margaret Atwood "The Year of the Flood"
I read music most of the time I am playing due to my misspent youth of classical music training.
Just got the Kindle version of "All These Worlds" by Dennis Taylor, book III of the "We Are Legion: Bobiverse" series. Probably my favorite SciFI series in the last few years. Its a Kindle Unlimited book so you can read it for free with your subscription if you have one.
I'll check it out! I'm on law 39 of the book. Almost done. Fantastic read
Damn. That does look good. I am going to ask MrsChasteen to have the university department grab a subscription.
The Daily Stoic ... Every day without fail.
I dip into The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F**k when I feel like I need some perspective.
Basically the latest in a long line of Self Improvement/Psychology/Spirituality stuff.
It's a journey that never ends and that is OK.
