iOS 7 unwanted noise!
I'm getting this intermittent noise from my ipad 3. It's sounded out of nowhere twice today. Please read the soundcloud description as to what set up I had at the time.
Anyone else having these problems?
Sebastian maybe you can shed some light on it?

The iPad 3 seems to react slightly differently than all other devices when it comes to audio. This behaviour can be the source for bugs in iOS 7 - we're mostly experiencing this when using it with external audio interfaces like the Apogee Jam.
Just upgraded my iPad4 to iOS 7 and right out of the gate iMini produced rather unpleasant noise on top of the noises it should have made, but I haven't encountered any with other apps (yet). Have a bunch still to try...
Thanks Sebastian for getting back will keep a ear out for any more advice.
Just upgrade to IOS 7 (ipad4)..and noise is on every app I tried over Audiobus..DM1 to Auria..IMini to MultiTrack or Auria...always noise on each aprox. 10 sec.Is this problem of Audiobus or other Apps?Or iOS7?
I'm hearing it too on an iPad mini. Haven't upgraded my iPad4 yet.
I upgraded my Ipad 4 to IOS 7 and Individualy my apps work fine but when I use them with Audiobus I get glitches and pauses it's like the audio is paused for a moment while IOS 7 does
Some background function then released again and I can actually hear the audio catch up.
Now I feel like a spoilt child who didn't listen to his parents, sorry Seb and Mike I'll never upgrade
Again when I'm told not to,its a good job I've still got my laptop.
Try going into your settings and turn off any kind of audible notification or sound output for any non music app. Disable background updating of apps and anything else that might be using bankground resources.
I mean turn off "background app refresh" under General settings.
You could be unto something there, Smeeeth, switching off background app refresh was one of the first things I did after installing 7, to save battery life, and I haven't heard this noise or glitches in recordings yet (Auria/iFretless guitar).
Thanks @smeeth! That seems to have resolved it.
It might help to slide ringer and alerts slider all the way to left in sounds setting.
Thank you very much @smeeeth I thought my IOS music making days had come to an abrupt end until 7.somthing arrives but thanks to you and your suggestion I'm working again without
Any glitches or pauses.
Thanks @smeeth. On a related note, this little step also helped my iPhone get back to normal battery life. I wasn't making it through the day on a single charge anymore until I turned this off. When I did the difference was stark. I assume they'll get it sorted, but until then, this will remain off on my phone (and iPad).
