Any idea if they're getting rid of the confusing "Auto-saved" files on the welcome screen?
Precisely my question. Not sure why they had to make that so complicated.
It might mean that you have the option to group banks on the timeline, which is a very handy feature.
I'm hoping this is the case. But even if it means we only get 16 layers thats enough for my use cases. 16 midi tracks along with unlimited audio tracks in the sequencer is more than enough data for most of my mobile productions
but 128 would be absolutely brilliant.
So when is it supposed to hit... ?
Still don't see anything about MIDI-EXPORT....
I phoned up Tim Cook to see when Apple would get it approved. He said he'd have one of his people get back to me.
Great, let me know when he gets back to you..
aren't apple really busy building their colosseum? that might explain it!
fake news ?
Sounds legit
I would never joke or make anything up on this forum.
Something weird is happening. I already have Beatmaker 3.0.1 update installed on my iPad. However, this morning I got excited when BM3 showed up as an update but on the update it is still 3.0.1. hmm.
Strange, on my iPad Pro on the App Store update description it's the new 3.02 update while on my iPad mini 4 on the App Store update the new update is still the 3.01 update.
3.0.2 update is finally out

hey @Samu do you have an electribe? i've got a really vague memory of maybe you saying something about one a while back
All sorted. I had to sign out of iTunes and sign back in and the app store now shows the correct version 3.02 to be downloaded.
Fantastic update! I just had a little play with the new 3.02 update and it's confirmed that more than 8 banks can now be added to the sequencer. In fact it's 128 banks now. Happy days
I like how the different bank groups have been added. I was worrying that there would be extra clicking through groups added but it doesn't change the current workflow at all, just adds more banks!
I've got an Korg Electribe 2(not the sampler) and the classic Korg Electribe ES-1(sampler).
But to be honest I seldom use them...
Got all the ES-1 factory samples loaded in BM3 as well as all the factory content from the Electribe 2 Sampler which I 'extracted' when I messed around with alternate firmwares for the Electribe 2...
@Samu ah, right. for once my memory serves me well. yeah, i've got an E2. did the hack but wasn't impressed with the sampler. could you clear something up for me, you seem pretty knowledgeable about bm3? the thing i really like about the E2, which part gets round it limitation of 4 bars etc, is that once you've got a bunch of progressions in a pattern you can jam them in and out by un/muting, mixing up the melodies and percussion, building the track up and what not-live.
i expected this to be the case with bm3 but the mute cuts the audio instead of the sequencer. the result is an abrupt cut of the samples being played. if the sequences were muted then the samples' tail wouldn't be cut off.
is this just the way it is? is there a work around? with that work flow it means that even when you've completed a tune you can still mix live.
I think I requested that as well during the beta (ie. sequencer mute without cutting audio). Shoot them a request e-mail to show there is interest for this feature
@Samu ok, will do
Nice the update is here
Still no way to update sample linking to files, but I think it's coming at a future time.
With the update, I'm able to get into some of my crashing sessions by unloading the listed AUv3 apps.
tempting me back to iOS 10!
