Recording Bass Via Jam Up Into Beatmaker3?

Hello there.

I'm a long time lurker very infrequent poster. Looking at it my last question was about iOS 8. But now I have a new question. This has probably been asked and answered then asked again but does anyone know of a way to record an instrument i.e. Bass into Beatmaker 3 via a processing app such as Jam Up like you can in Cubasis? I have finally found the audio tracks in BM3 but can't seem to see an Audiobus input that allows me to record into it. The input setting seems to be hardware (mic) or resampling from a set of pads. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I've watched a quite a few vids but to be honest it's been a steep learning curve.

Thanks

Love this forum and I spend a heck of a lot of time reading here. So much so that it's the first webpage on the frequently visited part of Safari. There is so much knowledge floating about. The only down side is that visiting the site usually ends up costing my cash. Saying that I need to go and get the latest Audio Damage fx. They are nice.

  • Hi. I actually don't own BM3 (considering it, but not sure I "need" another DAW). But checking in on JamUp Pro, it actually was very recently updated by Positive Grid (08/02/17) and should be fully AudioBus 3-compliant.

Someone else will chime in and tell you how to set an audio track to receive AudioBus, but assuming you have all the current versions of everything, I have to think that will work.

  • You should set the connections up in the Audiobus app. Then, BM3 should receive the audio. BIAS was also updated recently for Audiobus 3

  • Thanks for the replies I shall try again.
