New Animoog timbres and patches..

I see 3 new packs on the internal App Store in Animoog..
Monster Moog Expansion pack , Vintage Vibe and Vintage FX expansion packs...all at different prices.
This is a surprise since I don't see any mention anywhere ...but , yay!

  • Anyone get them yet??

  • @synthandson,thanks.
Am sure Douglas is putting his powder on as we speak....

  • It's just a shame they still haven't added the missing Richard Devine timbres, but it's been two years so I've been skeptical of their other packs. Referring to this issue in case anyone was curious: http://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=13373

  • That's a real bummer (I like the Devine set but hadnt noticed) - but it hasn't been 2 years.

  • The only thing I'm getting when I tap on the store menu is "Restore In App Purchases". No preset packs, no back button, just that option. When I tap it, Animoog craps itself and makes my whole iPad slow down.

  • I also went for the Monster Moog pack - good range, superb basses (obviously) but I especially love 'ResoBrassy' which is really playable sounding warm and juicy! Very nice.

  • @eyeballjackson sorry man, your completely right. I was talking to my boss while I was typing that and must have thought that was posted two years ago.

  • I know I run a lot faster if I think I'm gonna crap myself..

    Works fine on 7.

  • In my Animoog all the IAPs are there but don't show as purchased for the ones I bought. The patches are there just show as not bought.

@protomike - now I didn't check beforehand but I just tried reinstalling the Devine pack and went to the Timbres and there was a set in the list labeled "RD - ********" but don't know if they were already there not.

I love that all the new packs are more Timbre focused than preset. Timbres make Animoog the beast that it is. You can add your own through iFunbox I believe, but that's the only way. I picked up all three packs and they're all good but Monster Moog and Vintage Vibe are the best, Vintage FX gives some nice chorus, phaser, comb filter, and freq shift timbres.

  • Devine pack is showing in the store now (uk)

  • @commonstookie - that's not the issue. The issue is the presets show up but the timbres do not

  • I wish they would bring back the fart pack. It's actually quite useful, and I only have it on my iphone version :(

I use Animoog so much... this is very tempting! 167 new timbres for $5

    Monster Moog description:

167 Timbres and 48 presets. This massive expansion pack was crafted using harmonic content extracted from new and classic Moog instruments including a System 15 Modular, Minitaur, 904a Filter, Freq Box, Bode Frequency Shifter, Sub Phatty, and more.

But for the record,I'm just hoping they sell a bunch of IAPs and decide iOS apps are worth their time... Filtatron update?!!

  • @JMSexton just restored purchases and checked, and they are still missing. I copied this from a synthtopia post i had bookmarked a few months ago after I realized that some where missing. Seems about right, and I know it's not many but it'd be nice to have a complete set the way Devine meant the presets to sound.

HarmonicDescent3 (different from MT-HarmonicDescent3) – missing from RD-Alien Pod Chimes
    RD-SpectrumHarmonic1 – missing from RD-Buzz Copter
    AC-StaticPhoneRing – missing from RD-Evergreen

    MT-DescendingOdd – missing from RD-Gamma Pad

@Hmtx yeah I really hope filtatron gets an update on of these days with audiobus at some point. So much potential there, but it seems like they will never update animoog for iPhone or filtatron. Kinda sucks they ported it to blackberry, and still sell the expansions, but just won't hire someone to update their code.

Also since I'm at work and don't have my laptop to check ifunbox/google does anyone know if we pull the timbres out of animoog can they be used in nave?

  • I've seen it mentioned elsewhere that lately, some IAP features added to apps can take up to 36 hours to become live and available.

  • Never heard of it before the latest update...

  • The delayed IAP thing has happened quite a bit lately, developers in a hurry to push an app out? Or just Apple with a heavier workload due to iOS 7 release and massive amounts of app updates to approve.

  • but I want my happy meal IAP NOW!

You CAN add your own Timbres to Animoog, though a few rules apply.

    • Must be 16-bit, 44.1, Mono
    • Chop sample down to 0.371 seconds long
    • Use iFunbox
    • Drop them into Library/Caches/Samples (not _samples)

Here is an article (note the path is changed since last update) also there are a bunch of free user timbres in the comments section.

    http://www.synthtopia.com/content/2012/08/26/hack-animoog-to-add-your-own-timbres-no-jailbreak-required/

  • @synthandson - that would be it. Thanks! Didn't realise it hadn't received an update yet.

thank you very much JMSexton, that's really a good tip. It's from August 2012 I see, but I missed that one. Bought one or two 'Timbre packs', now I can create my own. Nice.
