KORG iMono/Poly The BIG Soundtest Updated With FACTORY BANK B Demo
Here is my demo for the basic version of the new iMono/Poly I will do another for the IAP and also a Lets compose with Montpellier.
Lovely lush analogllynessment to the MAX
And also now here is my demo for the Factory Bank B IAP that gives you another 128 sounds, actually this is worth watching just for the first patch which has just become one of my all time favourite sounds ever......it's HUGE
Comments
Great demo Doug. Thanks.
Thanks Matt
Thanks for that Doug. Stellar as always. No Link though?
Nice one Doug.
Do you mean here or on my YT channel, there is a link there but I can't post my affiliate link here because Audiobus have their own app links page and I think Sebastian may get a bit annoyed with me if I started posting my own links here too
Question about the Poly... how powerful is it in your view compared to other iOS synths? Compared to Thor for example, it has 3 oscillators whereas Poly has 4. Or Animoog... where does this new synth rank in say the top ten?
What is this mystery off-topic synth that people are calling Poly?
Good run through as ever.
As for purchase, for me probably not. Despite having much of the Gadget stuff I'm gravitating towards combinations of apps that don't have the walled garden thing going on.
The fact that so much inspired good stuff is coming from the smaller dev teams helps me redirect my cash to them
Sounds great though.
Right on time, Doug!
I believe that would be Korg's iPolysix.
I meant Ableton Link. I'm a little cryptic, sorry.
I'd like to hear the basic wave oscillators with tweaking.
Just updated the thread with a demo of the IAP pack Factory Bank B
In case anyone missed this...
256 more patches for iMono/Poly
http://www.benis.it/cm/suoni/ios_imonopoly.htm
Are the factory banks the same as some of the legacy presets or are they all new?
They are all new and not the same as the KLC collection.
It's possible to extract the new presets from the iMono/Poly bundle and install them in the KLC version as well.
With the IAP that's a total of 512 patches...
Thanks
Yes despite my initial apathy. I caved in last night and bought it. But no regrets it's really excellent and Korg's best synth for my money. I just wish at least they made all their apps IAA instruments which would help if they don't make them AU.
OK So I have the iPolySix which sounds killer... but is next to useless i a live setting due to its inability to respond to MIDI PC.
Does this thing allow you to change patches via MIDI?
You can filter program change messages in the settings, so I assume you can (haven't tested myself)
