AU for VocaLife would be so cool. I just don't get why there is close to zero support from big companies.
If it is because of income, well, then charge for it.
We've definitely been letting the devs know this is an oft-requested feature. Thanks!
Hmmm, this is the standard polite answer. It doesn't even contain info, that it actually will be done.
Sorry if my words sound a little harsh, but this is how I perceive it.
But you don't even say that IK will actually do it.
Because I have relayed the request. We will share news about implementation of features when information is available.
One way to actually answer the question would be to say: "We definitely got it on our TODO list, but we can't reveal details about the point in time it's gonna be available."
Because they're probably not going to do it, but want your monies anyway?
The IK Multimedia Rep can't make those sorts of promises, because in a company the size of IK those decisions need to be made higher up and/or by committee. An indie dev could give you a straight answer, either "yes I'm on it and it will be out next month" or "sorry no it's not cost-effective for me to do this" but in a bigger company it's simply not possible for a rep to say because there are many more moving parts.
If the market pushes them that way, IK Multimedia will go the AU route. For the time being I'm personally glad to see the commitment that they've made to iOS and happy that they're still releasing apps in this niche and challenging market.
I feel the same thing! ... for me it does not feel like a 750 euro gift, but it just makes me feel I am forced to buy stuff I do not want or need. Pity! For beginners though, it is an awesome deal with the software! Just give me a 750 / 550 euro voucher with it for your webshop and I will order both the 25 and the 49 keys version!
Hey.. I see a business model here
@ikmultimedia Looks like a great interface/controller, congratulations. iOS really needs an 1176 limiter and LA2A compressor available inside the Auria Store. Please, please, please...
Steinberg was able to say: yes, we are definitely gonna do it. They are also big, I assume Steinberg is bigger than IK.
Let the IK rep go to his senior and push the management for a commitment.
That would be another way to answer, but it isn't the way I had answered. We do not disclose our roadmap until it is time, this is actually something that other companies have also stated as well, it isn't uncommon. I will relay the suggestions/requests as I typically do, and will share information about upcoming features/apps/etc as I am able.

any update on the shipping date? thomann already changed availability from mid october to end of the month...
can any fellow user already share some reports?
Looks really good so far. Unlike earlier audio interfaces from IK this one is clean and quite. Keys feel pretty good. The manual is terrible though. So I still haven’t created and saved a preset for some of my iOS apps.
I recently purchased the new IK Multimedia IRIG I/O 49 key controller. So far it has worked flawless with IOS and it comes with all the IPAD connectors. It is more expensive, however you do get an audio interface built into it, including balanced stereo output etc. From what I can tell there is no noise and the audio sounds clean. So far so good....
Here is review I did of it
