  • Wow syncing with Loopy right out of the box using Loopy as master. Set DS clock in to All not virtual and don't select DS in Loopy's clock out or else it plays at double speed probably creates a midi loop.

  • I don't know if anyone else contacted the dev on this, but I was having probs syncing Drumstudio so I contacted him just after the last update with my experience and he kindly sent me an email a few days ago saying he improved the midi sync.
    I haven't tried it yet. Here's hoping. :)

  • NICE!!! This one and DM1 are two of my favorites!!!

  • Okay, I mainly wanted it to work with Auria... it does, to an extent. If both apps are set to the same bpm, and Auria sends sync to Drumstudio, it works until Drumstudio loops around to its beginning (I tried a 16 bar loop) then it's out of sync. Sending sync from Drumstudio to Auria seems to syncronize the metronome in Auria to Drumstudio (even after Drumstudio loops around), but I only get a snipet of a recording in Auria or it doesn't record at all.
Well, so far it's workable whereas before it didn't work at all! :)

    iPad2, ios 6.1.3

  • For me, it's working better than the previous version. The previous version played back at a really high speed. Also, looping repeats fine for me...I'm using Cubasis by the way...

  • Handy, but doesn't show up on the ipad as update available and when you go to the App Store, still no update showing.

Only when you click 'open',will it prompt for password and then update.

Devs could keep us posted on updates till the store has fixed the issues it's having..(talked about in other threads)

  • Yeah, Drumstudio syncs to Cubasis even during loops.
    Wonderful!

  • Gotta LOVE Cubasis! :-)

    Updated to v.1.6.6

    What's new:

Ability to export rollerchimp files to dropbox and google drive via "open In.."

  • Just to make sure - it is possible to Start/stop from Cubasis?

  • I don't have Cubasis, so I can't help you. Sorry...

  • Yes, you can control it with Cubasis' transport controls. One caveat though is that Cubasis sends transport messages differently than Auria. The way Cubasis does it doesn't account for song position. So if you start playback, then stop (pause), then start again, Drum Studio will start from the beginning instead of the current song pointer position.

At least that's my observation. Let me know if anyone knows how to get Cubasis to behave differently!

  • Updated to 1.6.7

    • Audiobus 2 support
    • State saving with Audiobus 2
    • Inter-App Audio support
  • Brilliant! Thanks @fjcblanco

  • Honestly, I expected more kits (even through IAP) and improved mixing section.

  • I think we'll see a lot of updates to apps that are basically just the new Audiobus SDK slipped in before iOS 8 comes crashing down...
