Music Memos will do this, very basic but free.
Just watched some videos and that sdrum from digitech sounds boss, man!
I've got one pre-ordered. Have been looking for something like this to spark more creative play and practice with guitar. The DigiTech TRIO met that need to a degree, but this one offers a lot more depth in terms of creating and tweaking drum patterns.
I can't think of iOS apps that do this using guitar strum inputs, but there are a few apps (including GarageBand and DrumJam) that have pretty good automated drum patterns. You can do things like indicate you want "more hats" or a busier/simpler pattern.
any sound to midi to drum app would do...
X Drummer from PositiveGrid but I don't know if it's good
So, I've tested all the apps mentioned and so many others, but I believe that if it does not exist yet, it will only be a matter of time.
Music Memo is simple and came pretty close to that, but unfortunately it's not for live performances.
I hope developers think about it :-) will sell a lot, for sure.
There's nothing like a real drummer. Not only sonically but also visually a drummer adds to the show. If small scale you could get away with a cajon player. They could even do the backing vocals but I don't know if you personally would need them. Playing to a drummer emulator have always left me a bit meh.
Of course the dynamics is different. But for those who need something lean, it would be an excellent alternative. Remembering that this resource has much to improve, such as real-time dynamics, for example.
I think there are already resources for this, just join the codes. If you know impaktor, midi guitar2, you know that converting audio to a sampler is already possible, a sort of TAP function for speed and looping for the pattern library.
Well briefly, I think that's it ;-)
Wow, very cool!
Very nice!
Does any app create the rhythm dynamics, even if from a few touches on the pads?
That would be pretty handy for live performances.
Holy shit!

Very good!!
I really like how this guy play the guitar
waiting for a miracle like this in iOS app

I'm pretty sure my SDRUM arrives today (it's been on pre-order since July and finally shipped). I was a fairly early adopter on their band-in-a-box pedal, the original DigiTech TRIO, and that was pretty successful product for them that mostly lives up to the hype, though I haven't been able to use it quite as much as I envisioned when it came out. Not really due to the fault of the TRIO, but just lack of focused time for actually playing guitar (versus hacking around and playing with gear). But the TRIO and SDRUM both appeal to me as a lone wolf hobbyist precisely because they seem like the kind of tools that would make practicing guitar and working on technique all the more appealing.
The release of TRIO and SDRUM, at first glance, almost seems backwards - shouldn't the pedal that generates bass and drum parts be the more advanced product. But the level of control afforded by the SDRUM over beat generation seems to be significantly greater, and it also allows you to store some patterns in memory (which the TRIO did not).
I'm also not sure it has to be just a tool for guitarists. I was a little skeptical about the strum feature to program bass/kick and snare notes, but they included tap pads which should allow you to make beats entirely without a guitar plugged in. It really also means that this is more of a "compact automated drum machine" than a "guitar pedal", and at a price point just slightly higher than, say, a Volca Beats. With that in mind, I do kind of wish they included a headphone jack as was available on the TRIO, though you could easily get around that by plugging it into any kind of mixer.
I'm not sure that we don't already have the equivalent of this in iOS, though the implementation of it probably isn't this slick. X Drummer from Postive Grid looked like a similar effort, though the reviews seem terrible. I never really wanted to get my iPhone involved in guitar jamming, but "Rock Drum Machine" was something that offered "enhanced metronome" experience I couldn't get from external gear...until now.
I'm not expecting "miracle", but it's a pretty exciting product and a stunning piece of kit (IMO). Excited to learn it and hope that it expands my playing ability and enjoyment.
I'd buy a SDRUM for iOS in a heartbeat, as long it worked with synth-heavy sound.
I sincerely hope that someone develops something like this in iOS, since many features along these lines could be enhanced, changing samples, saving more than 36 projects, synchronizing via midi with other apps easily, and so on. Example. Loopy HD is a natural partner for this type of app. With the added advantage of costing much cheaper and of having updates without additional costs. A pedal will hardly be updated, forcing you to buy other equipment in no time.
I was going to ask @LuisMartinez to create an algorithm for his drum apps so that the intensity slider auto adjusts depending on the average velocity from the audio input! That would make these apps completely AI driven.
DrumPerfectPro would be killer with this feature.
