Troublemaker and iFretless?

Anyone try Troublemaker as a MIDI sequencer in AB3 and connect it to iFretless via the MF Adapter? I'm interested in whether iFretless interprets the slides and ties from Troublemaker smoothly or not.

    Yes, it's pretty smooth. Just got ifretless for bass a couple of weeks ago and am using it precisely as you describe. Very cool!

    In fact, TM and ifretless are such a good pair, that it's my go to thing for stringed bass.

    Just downloaded iFretless again and yee haw! Sounds great. I'm using the Randomizer filter in AB3 and it adds a little "humanization" when I mix in a little velocities and times variation.

    Sure, no prob. I have to admit that I spent a grand total of maybe 5 minutes coming up with that preset. But if you think it's worthy of a video, then go for it.

    I never new you could use brambos apps for midi out? Nice

    @lukesleepwalker @thesoundtestroom Finally got this to work (didn't have Midi Adapter, doh....) but with the rain tipping down in constant squalls I've had myself nailed to the chair (for once)....totally magically brilliant....

    Sometimes the weather cooperates... Be sure to use the variation, randomize, and mutation functions in troublemaker liberally.

    @brambos I'm guessing this isn't possible given the design decisions you made with Troublemaker but it'd be hugely helpful if we could convert tied notes into a held MIDI note using TM as a MIDI generator. There are just very few sound generators that know what to do with TM's tied notes. I wouldn't ask at all but it's obvious from the comments here in the AB forum that folks find magic in your sequencer for a multitude of use cases you likely didn't design for... Anyway, sequencers like Xynthesizr have this handy switch, if you are interested in examples, to allow for a simple musical thing called a "whole note". :)

    You can adjust that in Troublemaker or use Midiflow Transposer for even greater range.

    Just got something similiar with GuitarCapo. Trouble-ab3-midiflow trnsposer down an octave-aum-capo. Poor mans ifretless! Sounded good but had to stop prematurely and didnt get to hear if slides work. Mañana

    Nice stuff....I noticed you have randomizer... this Midiflow Midi filter app refuses to work on my Iphone although adapter works fine
