VIDEO bram bos family jam (ruismaker fm as melodic inst)

so, was jamming on this and pretty pleased how tunable and responsive ruismaker fm is. @brambos as this is chromatic, do you have the notes that correspond to the pitch numbers? i did this by ear but it would be great to plug in the correct numbers quickly.

mapped nanokontrol studio to decay and volume in each fm channel. xnthesizer runs phase maker.

  • Sounds great! Extra point for smiley face button.

  • Very nice. I don't have a table with how the Ruismaker FM tune corresponds to notes, because it uses a formula (mapping 127 MIDI values on a smaller range of notes). Maybe I can generate a table in Excel. I'll have a look and see if I can do that tonight.

  • Fantastic!

ha! yeah, i looked around before hitting record and saw lots of toys laying around and that seemed appropriate, since i was smiling.

thanks, that would be great, although i won't hold you to it. haven't really delved in but would going up 12 numbers be an octave, or is it more complicated than that?

It'll be more complicated due to rounding.

Got one of spreadsheets for the other parameters?

Is there any way to midi learn the "knobs" in the future? Is that a pain to code?
