Sunrizer will always be one of my favourites so difficult to compare as with Nave, Thor, Animoog etc., ArcticPro is hard as nails with in your face bass, fat fat oscillators and some very cool features like 4 sequencer tracks to modulate many parameters, extensive MIDI and quite nice vocoder too. With this synth everything seems so immediate and easy to use. It's definitely a massive improvement over the original Arctic Keys. A welcome addition!
I have all of the above, including the original Arctic Keys, which I didn't liked. That's why I'm asking. This "fatness" is better than Sunrizer's ?
@alexbuga there are plenty of sound demos and videos available at... http://www.onereddog.com.au/arcticpro.html
Are the keys resizable? I usually want ~27-28 keys available on screen on an iPad keyboard to find it usable. Also, can you scroll the keyboard up/down while holding/playing notes? Can you assign modulations to the keys/blades?
I'm a bit spoiled by Naves near perfect implementation with its keys/blades, but it did set the bar for all others to follow (resizable keys, scrolling the keys without cutting the notes your playing, assignable modulations to x/y on the keys and blades etc).
Keyboard can be resized and it also plays different scales. It has Poly and Channel after touch and velocity sensitivity but have to do more digging on that.
@ChrisG ooh yes, very nice modulations available to map to the keys. I'm loving this.
Thanks @Trueyorky , hopefully I'll get the chance to check it out later today.
I decided to get ChordPolyPad this time around, but will probably get Arctic Keys Pro next (unless something else cool comes along that I don't have ;-) ).
Edit: @Trueyorky Thanks for pointing me to the audio demos! I'll definitely check them out! This is huge for helping me determine whether I get a synth or not.
ChordPolyPad plays really well with ArcticPro. Here's something from my first play using both...
Sounds Good! I've always liked products that play well together! OneRedDog does a good job at inter-app operability. I'll probably get the synth next. :-) Thanks for the demo! :-)
Artic Pro Synth is on sale!! A big sale, but why i cant find the AB compatibility in AB app or the webpage, anyone know if works, according with the features list it does.
Edit: using the search button doesnt work but looking by name works, and i just bought it!!! Is only 2 dollars.
$1.99!?! I freaking paid $9.99 for it like 2 weeks ago (as I suppose most people did).
Anyway, yes, full AudioBus compatibility. It's decent, but it feels kind of like a poor man's Sunrizer in a lot of ways. For $1.99, yes, absolutely buy it.
All the One Red Dog apps are on sale at the moment.

Molten Drum

Nice. 99 cents for the other two. Kinda wanted arctic keys b/c it is universal. Not sure I understand molten drum but there has to be a use for it.
Hey,
I want to buy the Pro Synth, but can anyone tell if I must buy both Keys and Pro Synth? Or Pro synth being the upgraded version of Keys it will have all presets what keys app has?
I saw in their website that Keys get presets from Sunsine audio 'Snowflakes' but not with Pro synth?
Does Keys compatible with IAA to work with Cubasis?
Thanks
Anilnc
This is a strange move. So arctic keys app's price drops to 99c and they release arctic keys pro which looks to me like an update to the original synth rather than a new synth. What's going on red dog? With impc pro coming out I have a feeling this is gonna become a new trend to maximize profit. I just hope that in a few years time we won't be going: 'remember those times when ios apps were dirt cheap?' I hope not. Saying that at least red dog had enough decency to keep the introductory prices low.
