Midi on off switch audiobus ( live playing)

guys

is there any way (workaround) to add an on/off/mute switch for channels in audiobus?

Example1 I route midi to 3 channels .. im playing with midi controller Chordup .... but I want to bring in one channel at a time.

Example2 want to bring the bass channel of Soundprism Link Later

Example 3 ...im Playing Navichord pads ... I then want to add midi channel2 , then midi channel 3 ..

also note .. im using Midiflow apps too.. im not sure if you can do on off type operation

My ios device of choice is iphone

  • The Mixer page has volume, mute, solo, panning per lane.

  • But no MIDI controllability. Yet...

Which is why we love AUM so much, right?

yes .. but does not help while playing live...I wish audiobus remote had something similar

  • When you say "Midi on-off switch". Do you mean an Audio Mute/Unmute? Or do you mean something that would turn the MIDI on and off?

It's an important distinction because if you mute/unmute audio, the sound will abruptly cut off/on. Whereas, if you mute midi data, any sound still playing (such as echos or reverb) will fade naturally while no more notes will be triggered. Also, if you're sending to outboard gear or apps, the only way to mute them would be to stop the midi notes.

Some one like @JohannesD (if he's still out there ... haven't heard from him for a while) could probably easily make a "midi mute" filter that would stop the midi notes if it receives a trigger of some kind. That would be really, really useful!
