Eos 2 and GarageBand problems

I have an empty GB project open. When I put Eos 2 on any of the built-in synths I've tried, I either get a lot of feedback-ish sound or no sound at all. Is it just my iPad mini, or is this something other people are seeing? If you test it, please make sure your volume is low. Thanks!

  • yes i have experienced the same with Eos and AUM.. sudden burst of volume while installing or changing presets...however it rectifies itself after I reload

  • Yeah me too. We all gotta follow the rules now..... Standalone first.......

What do you mean? Do we need to open Eos as a standalone before using the AU?

I haven't noticed this issue with any other AU, including other Audio Damage plugins. I wonder if the dev realizes this is a problem.

I don't use AUM much, but I fired it up with Phasemaker as an instrument and Eos as the only insert effect. It worked fine without a reload. Eos sounded great, as expected.

Regarding other Audio Damage AU in GarageBand, Grind and Dubstation seem to work fine, but QuatroMod (at least when loaded with default settings) emits a split second squeak on playing a built-in synth sound, then all audio is just gone. GarageBand has to be restarted to get it back. Again, curious to know if I'm the only one here.
