Recording/live performance question: iPad synth + iPad vocals (via Vocoder) +hardware synths
Hi all. A bit of a noobie question. I have a 12 channel mixer with multi-track USB out (Behringer UFX1204). I also have a Focusrite 6i6 laying around that I rarely ever use.
I have a few hardware synths that I run into the mixer.
I have an iPad that I want to record out from into the mixer (like a synth app or two). I run the headphone out to my mixer for the audio from the iPad.
But I also want a mic to go into the iPad so I can use the vocoder app VoxSyn.
I use the Mio midi cable (via lightning adapter) to send midi from my iPad to the hardware synths.
I record straight from the mixer into the DAW via the mixer's USB out.
Do I need to buy anything else to record everything at once into my laptop? Not sure how to connect mic to iPad since I use headphone out for audio out. Also I'd like to perform live with this setup.
Thanks.

I think your solution is to use the 6i6 as the audio interface for the iPad
