BM3 + Beathawk + Jamup Pro = Black Metal Madness!
Man, I love BM3. The workflow is amazing. For this quick idea I loaded Beathawk with the acoustic drums pack as AU inside BM3. THe sequencer in BM3 is great for drum programming. Guitars are played through Jampup Pro with the metal IAP. Just a quick and dirty recording of some ideas, but I wanted to share my enthusiasm about BM3. For me it has the best workflow and tools ios has to offer at this moment. So grab yourself a virgin, let loose the goats and enjoy!!!

Works with real guitar, or as effect via audiobus/IAA with any instrument app
@Maarten Badass track! Those drums are pretty awesome
. You should add more
Sounds great bro!
There are several things that I really like about BM3:
it has a fast and intuitive AU3 integration: for example, just add Beathawk to a pad in BM3 , select the Acoustic Drums "full kit" preset in Beathawk, enable "keys mode' in BM3 and use the velocity slider while you play to create dynamic and realistic sounding drum tracks. I've never been able to create natural sounding drum and snare rolls and fills this fast. (Please keep in mind that the recording I've posted isn't final).
zooming in in the piano roll automatically changes the grid resolution. So by zooming in BM3 automatically lets met enter shorter notes, e.g. 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, etc. I don't have to set the note duration or grid resolution with an extra tap in some menu.
I personally like the fact that BM3 lets me record riffs and midi clips without comitting them to the timeline. This way you can try out different structures by either previewing different clips by making a clip "active" or by using BM3's scene mode.
the file system is really good once you get to know it. It really helps being able to create folders and subfolders of your choice to stay organised. When you've started a project you can save all samples and files to your own project folder. Compared to Cubasis and Auria I find BM3's file management system superior.
at first I disliked the fact that BM3 doesn't have a dedicated track freeze function. There is a very easy workaround however. You either create an audio track, select the midi track you want to "freeze" as its input and record the content of the midi track as audio. Then you can "unload the plugin" from the midi track. The other option is to export the audio from the midi track you want to freeze and import the file on an audio track. Commiting music to audio instead of working with midi also helps me to limit my choices and trust what I've made. Midi recordings tempt me to change notes and sounds all the time. By turning them into audio files you stick with your initial choice and move on. For me it forces me to finish my tracks. This is not something exclusive to BM3 however and can be done in other DAWs as well.
Overall BM3 is very well thought out and the layout is great. Once you know how to navigate around the app, you find that there is a huge toolbox at disposal under your fingers. DAW's seem to be a very personal thing and many people prefer Cubasis, Auria, MTS or something else. For me, BM3 helps me to get my ideas recorded. Of all the Daw's I've used, BM3's workflow matches the way I think about creating and structuring music the best. And I haven't even talked about the sampling capabilities yet. For that, i highly recommended the following youtube channel:
This guy has very well made and inspiring tutorials.
