Now that we've got something for nothing - anyone know if it's possible to rip it's guts out and get the WAV files from the sample sets out of it?

Copy the ipa from your iTunes library, rename to .zip and extract?
Just been fiddling with this for other apps, seems to work. Not downloaded Beathawk yet though so no idea if this is the case here.

Ah, soundbanks are in UFS format, stops them being used elsewhere I guess, fair enough.
I have tried doing this on Caustic, Gadget and NanoStudio but when I copy the ipa and rename the extension to zip and I extract the zip I am presented with a folder. When I open the folder I am presented with other folders called META-INF and Payload. The META-INF folder only has two files a bin and plist file. When I go into the Payload folder I am presented with the app. What do I do to get the wav files? I have right clicked on the app in the Payload folder and selected Show Package Contents but cannot see any wav files. Please advise.
Just saw it go free. Tried to download and it says it's not compatible with my device. I have an ipad 4 with ios 10.3.2. Anyone else having trouble with this ?
I depends on the app, for instance I've just opened up the SessionBand ipa and can see loads of .m4a files in locations like:
SessionBand 2.1.zip\Payload\SBBlues.app\Blues1_60bpm\Blues1 ch1 DRUMS
I'd use something like FormatFactory (free) to copy these in bulk to something more managable (wavs probably).
Some apps will encrypt the files or somehow prevent extraction, which is probably to good move to deter piracy.
You can find some wavs in Gadget, e.g.:
Gadget 3.3.2.zip\Payload\Gadget.app\preinstall samples\Bilbao\RawCutz Kit 01
In the description for Beathawk in the App Store it lists an iPad Air as the minimum requirement for an iPad or their iPhone equivalents. You could try downloading the app via iTunes on a PC if you currently don't have a powerful enough iOS device so you can install the app on a new iOS device in the future.
Wish I had waited now, only bought it a couple of weeks ago because the IAPs were on sale.
I hope this is a sign that they will concentrate on AUx rompler features.

If it means cheaper packs than actual and some new features as IAP cool to me. I don't want to pay for things I don't need and pay so much for things I want. Atm I haven't purchased any pack and used the app very few times. Lately I'm considering myself sampler apphaolic even none of these apps delivers what I expect from a Sampler (comsidering purchasing a second hand sp555 once again...)

Any sound packs that stand out? More interested in instruments than loops.
