My new video, "Courante" (BWV 1002)!
SUBSCRIBE - https://goo.gl/TNmKC7 - It's starting to become commonplace to start the week with Bach, right? But's so good!
Here is my rendition on the guitar of the "Courante", the third movement of the partita n. 1 for violin in Bm, BWV 1002, by Johann Sebastian Bach, arguably the father of all western music. As I always do when playing this partita, I played the second section of the song just once, instead of doing the ritornello indicated in the score, inspired by the great virtuoso of the violin, Arthur Grumiaux.

Bravo. Beautiful.
Thank you very much, @dblonde!
I play lute and always admire good right hand technique. You also get a good tone into your recording. Most accomplished
Thank you very much!
Damn! I deleted the video by mistake! What an awful interface Youtube has!! Upping it again.
UPDATE: here it is!
I wish I was as skilled as you. Faking it works to some extent for us dabblers, but the real deal always has the edge. Very nice playing.
Bach and Weiss lute pieces are some of my favorite music. My problem is that I can't remember the pieces unless I play them every day.
Thank you!
Also love Bach’s lute partitas (this one was written for solo violin) and absolutely want to record them. BWV 997’s Sarabande is otherworldly!
Gorgeous Dimitri.
Thank you, Rick!
