Novation lauch control Octaves
Anyone know how to change the octave on the buttons on novation lauch control while using it on a ipad.
I mainly purchased it for the knobs but if i could trigger a synth note in a selected octave via ios, that would be great (they do trigger but in a very low almost unhearable octave).
I really hope these companies start creating ios edit apps for there products as they do for desktops.
We seem to be getting short sticked in that area.
-Thx

You need to use the editor on pc/mac to make your own templates I'm afraid. No way to do it solely on iOS.
From left to right the buttons are notes
9-10-11-12-25-26-27-28
Which is the equivalent of
A-1 A#-1 B-1 C0 C#1 D1 D#1 E1
So, yeah, pretty low.
You can use AB3 with MIDIFlow Transposer to hit the desired notes. Or maybe something with MIDI Learn would do the trick. I guess that would be easier in something like Beatmaker rather than a standard keyboard synth.
Agreed! It would be fantastic if more hardware makers provided an iOS solution to remap their products instead of having to use a traditional computer.
I'm working on a version of LaunchControl in MIDI Desiger Pro so I can use my old iPhone 5 as a controller via Bluetooth. Not ideal for knobby actions (the reason I bought the LaunchControl in the first place) but two phones can fit in my pocket and don't require a cable.
