Yay!!!! Great news!!!
yeah, that's awesome. Now if I can just get a host...
Looptical makes a great host.
Sell it to me @mgmg4871. Why do I need looptical if I have BM2? I've seen the videos and can't justify dumping out more money for an app that I basically already have (from what my limited exposure to youtube videos has led me to believe)
Because you want a host? Lol.
Tnr-I works and is fun... Its just that the whole idea of IAA is pretty awesome. Just like audiobus. I'm sure GarageBand and all the other daws will adopt IAA as host apps over time like they did with audiobus and audiocopy.
Good point, @PaulB ;-) I'll just be patient for Auria I guess.
What PaulB said Lol. Really though, it's a different experience. You compose with your ears rather than playing with blocks. Very flexible with the different interfaces. Just plain fun to work with, and has all the serious tools, automation, effects, ability create your own instruments. It keeps you in the app, but if you need connect to other apps, that's an option also. Only about 600mb. Really good Dev, and universal ipad version is coming in weeks.
Ok. FINE.... Downloading... ;-)
OK. Downloaded last night. Tons of fun in there to be had for sure. No regrets at all.
edit:moved question to its own thread.
I am thinking Apple is going to do something special with GarageBand since it's already theirs
I predict they'll do just what they did with Audiobus, i.e. let anything in but nothing except mixdown out. Cynical, moi? I really would like to be proved wrong.
Unfortunately, I tend to think @Washboy is probably correct on this point....
From what Adil said earlier,I'm leaning more towards GB controlling app x via midi,(midi out)and app x sending audio back into GB to be recorded.
