Still having a hard time believing I paid only $20 for this amazing app. My Digitakt, which I got rid of, cost me 35 times what this app costs and it still didn't do some of the things BM does like slicing, allowing for soloing tracks, and so on. It didn't have all the effects BM does and of course BM3 is much more visual thanks to the iPad screen. To see all these rapid updates for a $20 app is impressive.

    Technically it's $40 now.

  • Getting in on the sale was a fantastic decision.

In iOS11, I’m no longer able to import from within BM3 (probably something related to the new Files UI?). I have to copy the file to BM3 from within its location. Does anybody else get this?

I have not installed iOS11 yet but @mathieugarcia mentioned over at the Intua BM forums that this week will be spent on implementing iOS11 API's of which Files.app is obviously one of them. When done you will be able to access the BM3 'Documents' folder directly from Files.app and vice versa.

I will be installing iOS11 on the 19th and as far as I know BM3 3.0.4 is already in the works...
(I will be installing the 3.0.4 beta the moment it's pushed out).

The Documentpicker/Files.app is one area that has been overhauled in iOS11.

Thanks, @Samu . The workaround is easy enough for now, but it’s good to see that they’re working on a fix.

  • BM3 update 3.0.3 is now live!

    @gonekrazy3000

    Oh yeah!!

This is an unexpected joy. Got BM3 on one device and Egoist on the other, synced and with master fine tune on both. Sample poowweeerrrr!!

Is the 'unexpected joy' in the screenshot? I don't quite get what I'm looking at!

(EDIT: Oh, is it the tuning option?)

  • Yeah, global tuning is very useful to me. I record a lot of ethnic instruments which are pitched arbitrarily and non tuneable, it'll be a much more creatively conducive work flow to just pitch the whole track to tuning of the individual instrument that I'm working with. I'm hoping that I can just pitch the track to the tuning of the instrument, record, pitch back to original tuning and take the instrument's track down with it. I didn't try it out yet!

  • Happy Friday everyone!

  • I saw a mention about having Auv3s 'Full scree' in BM3.

    How > @StudioES said:

@ Anyone If you use patterns within Scene mode, those patterns in the Song mode won't play until you stop the looping patterns within Scene Mode.

You can stop individual patterns or all looping patterns, all while while the Song Timeline still plays.

Look at the right side of the screenshot, below the text "1 BAR". There is where you can stop all or some of the looping patterns. The Song Timeline still plays so you can place patterns or audio recordings in the timeline like a linear DAW, and those will play too.

    Thanks for this.

I saw a mention about having Auv3s 'Full screen' in BM3.

How is this done and was it part of the recent update?

    Cheers in advance.

  • It's always been there, there's a button on the AU/keyboard view to pull down the AU to fill the whole screen

It's only of much use if the AU in question resizes for the screen. Some work well, some don't resize and some go all freaky lol

I don't see that button myself (not saying it's not there!:) ) Isee an option to Show AU Knos, but no other options relating to the AU screen size.

I load the AUv3 as Plugin from sample page. Is there another way to access the AU?

  • Aha, ok it was this....

I had been trying with Zeeon and iSem, neither of which went full screen, but just loaded up with Mersenne and got full screen.

    cheers

The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • Thanks @OscarSouth I figured that was just to hide keyboard as the 2 AUs I had been experimenting with, Zeeon and iSEM didn't go full screen when using that.

Later tried Mersenne and saw that went full screen when hiding the keyboard.

  • It seems they've grown weary of fixing bugs and are now putting in some new ones so that the pads work improperly. Just a guess.

  • Looks like Mathieu is kicking back and having some fun. These two guys have been busting their balls trying to work out the bugs on the most complex and ambitious iOS app since Auria Pro. Full speed ahead INTUA!

  • To me it looks more like a new granular effect, guessing from the UI knobs... B)

  • Is he teasing a new effect at the end, maybe some sort of granular effect?

  • Is it a transient detector detector?

    Broken record detector.

  • Might be a better idea to use newer topics than some old update topic that has been updated a few times since..

There isn't much point with that video, it could be anything or nothing, not really worth a new thread though.

  • It’s just a quick snippet of one of the new sample packs in the 99p line. I’m having lots of fun with these new small sample packs.

I know sample packs are not for all, but I don’t have lots of external gear to make some of these sounds and at 99p it’s just a few snacks. Plus it’s probably a good way to help fund continued work on BM3

But what is that effect at the very end, just before the fade Out? Nebulizer and clouds parameters, anything in there already have these?
