  • Fantastic. Just when I was starting to think the Maschine MK3 would be a good purchase... The Elektron envy returns.

  • Nicely done. And nice nuts, bruv!

  • Ok. I've listened three times now. Are you releasing this stuff? I'll buy the record. And I would also pay good $ to see how this was made.

I love elektron. This one is super easy and small. And so versatile. Just wish it had song mode.

Thanks! I've been grabbing what was near for my videos. I put away a ton of pistachios. Haha

Thanks man, maybe this weekend i'll do a little walk through video, if you're interested. Basically it's 4 synths in gadget, odyssei doing bass and one of the pads, phoenix doing the side chained pad and chiang mai doing the ep. 3 8 bar loops for each. And bilbao for the glitch track. And then i made three patterns in the digitakt with sampled hits with many conditional trigs and as many little tricks that i could program in. Still learning it, as you can tell by my frantic fingerwork. But i love playing like this because i take a couple nights to prepare the patterns and then one to plan and practice a start, middle and end and just do it. Very jamlike.

  • Ok so i made a walkthrough video. Hated making it. Will probably not make one again. Kudos for the guys with the patience and verbose flair because i sure don't have if. I cut out most of my uhmms and stumbles but .... anyhoo after finishing editing it i realized that i left out a lot of stuff, like how i lock one of the steps in the hihat to change to a cymbal whenever i touch the fill button. Any questions let me know.

  • Hey, man, that was awesome. Thank you for that. I think you've sold me on the Digitakt.
Is it possible to connect the ipad directly to the device? Or do you have to go through a laptop to grab the Dropbox samples? (Note to Elektron: in addition to adding song mode, wifi! Why not?)

In the meantime, I did find some excellent tutorials. I like your music better, but....

You can record straight into the digitakt as easily as pressing two buttons together. Although for loops it would not be easy to arrange stuff since unfortunately the digitakt doesn't slice. What i have been doing is sticking to 120bpm and manually slicing on multiples of 15, 30, 60 etc. You could of course slice beforehand and then use sample locking (on any step you can change anything, including the sample that is being used). Will probably do that the next time.
There is a dude that is working on an ios transfer app. But for now computer is key. The transfer app is great though. Drag and drop.

Those are helpful videos vpich. I have the same question as ExAsperis99. Is there an app like Strom (for the Analog Rytm?)

I have the analog four that i plan to use mostly alone with the digitakt. Also connect it to a ju-06 and a moog subphatty sometimes but i would rather keep things contained to 2-3 devices. And sample other stuff.
Here is one i did with the ju-06 the other day

And one i did with the analog four alone:
