Hey guys,
I was having a think the other night about the time I spend on this forum and the kind of conversations I have. I often come here for advice, and people usually have a lot to offer, it's a great thing.
But sometimes I think I might just be lacking some essential knowledge about certain jargon or concepts. Yes you can go off and look on youtube or google. But I just kind of like the idea of learning and conversing with people directly, knowledge is knowledge is knowledge.. but knowledge and outlook exchanged in direct social situation I just find more meaningful.
Apart from on here where people talk, does anyone know of any like, groups or meetups, kinda-clubs sorta thing?
I live in basically a small village full of cats and old ladies! I don't know maybe there are local electronic music groups or meetups and I just need to look, but I wondered if anyone out there goes to any currently?

I think you'd have to live in a big city to have an in person group like the one you're describing. It might be possible to find a few individuals who live close enough. In addition these sorts of groups tend to have people who have been interested in these topics for quite awhile so they tend to focus on a specific topic in a meeting rather than hold classes to teach new people the basics. As with many of the people on the forum, they can be a good resource for which topics or learning resources would be beneficial for you given your specific interests.
It would still be a good idea to try to learn things through other sources so that when you do meet with someone who has more experience you'll be able to benefit even more from what they're willing to share with you.
