  • Do you have it? I can't exactly tell what it does. Is it a step sequencer? Is it a midi looper? The few demos I saw didn't have talking and were going bonkers on the digital bongos.

  • I forgot about this one. Never bit because I'm still not quite sure what it does. He has a couple of demo videos up here but they're not tutorials. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPpTXXdmZOnmV7ZWT4_o6vw

Links to the manual(s) are on their site. http://www.signalarts.ca/satdig.html Reading over it a bit it looks really interesting for sure. And deep.

If anyone has tried it, can you tell me if the input modes are per track or for the entire bank? Either way, can you send in different note data on channels 1-8 and have each track respond accordingly? I'm particularly interested in what it calls 'Step' mode where each incoming midi note plays the next step in a track's sequence.

Not sure it does anything Quantum wont. Still, I'm a sucker for MIDI weirdness like this.

  • Neat. In Performance View, each track has an XY pad and a slider. Sequences themselves can be modulated from these. The pads can be set to static or you can turn on 'physics' which looks like it would sort of work like a bouncing ball LFO. Has speed and damping controls. Not sure if each XY pad has independent physics.

X/Y FUNCTION sets the modulation function for the XY Pads and Z FUNCTION sets it for the sliders. The modulations include: Transposition, Time Scale, Note duration, Volume, Step Thinner, Controller and MIDI Patch.

I'm guessing 'Controller' means a MIDI CC?

  • Haven't used that in a while but I did have quite a good time with it!
