  • It will look good with LayR light palette!

@Norbert glad you like it. I just had to accept that not everybody has a dark soul or makes EDM :)

  • Well, to be honest, I will stick to dark. Cause the more contrast there is, the less light I have to use on my ipad and thus the longer the battery life. And dark is sexier anyway.

Gotta love those pastel tones! (no seriously... I myself, being a dark person 😉, like it better than expected).

    Wow! Great work!
I'm a guy who prefers the darker pallettes (mainly because my free time with my ipad is only at night), but this light theme is gorgeous

  • @senhorlampada #metoo ;) but it's growing on me!

Little video with the "squash all remaining bugs" test production going :)

Dude. Are you sequencing SunVox with that? Awesome. Looks great!!!!!

  • @Chaztrip yep, SunVox is my new go-to "sound and mixing environment". Just so great to have all that flexibility.

Wow... that's great. After losing so much focus, and having finally purchased Xequence recently, i'm focusing on "All apps in one screen" for each EP. Gotta put sunvox on the queue

  • NOT vaporware! ;)

  • I hope that you'll include a SunVox-based demo project!

  • Yay, more SunVox for the masses :D
Love the new colour theme too, super nice!

  • @espiegel123 haha, yes, I considered that! Much easier to provide a download link for too... (Gadget projects = near impossible to swap between people)

@Samu: yes sorry, I fell in love with it. The total flexibility... I never before achieved such a lush and intricate mix and master on iOS! Thanks re/ color scheme.

    No worries, SunVox is awesome!
In the latest update the LFO module has a generator built-in so I only need to pass it thru a SoundCTL to be able to set the range and destination but being able to cut down on the number of modules is always welcomed :)
(The LFO is quite handy for adding add a bit of 'randomness' to the sample-start to avoid machine-gun snares as an example).

  • One more vote for a Sunvox project file
BTW, the gadget one mainly played the drums, although I have some of the iAP

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • @tja several... the language used in that file is pretty obvious from the screenshot though ;)

@senhorlampada OK, yeah maybe I've used IAPs that nobody else on the planet has (would not surprise me). :) You can also buy the song on Amazon etc. if you're very curious, I think I also posted the full master here in "Creations"...

@Samu: Yes there were a few improvements in this update. Unfortunately I've hit a limit in Sunvox with the current production... it cannot handle more than 16 MIDI events at a single tick (easily happens in complex arrangements), so I'm waiting for NightRadio to remove that limit :innocent:

  • @SevenSystems Here's a 'SunVox Drummer' that is crazy on the SnareDrum with some random sample-start thrown in :)

Cool! Trackers will always be part of my DNA and knowing SunVox will some day be AUv3 makes my wish for Redux on iOS go way even if I still have a soft spot for Renoise :)

    @Samu, nice!

Here's a little sneak peek / peak (English is not my first lengwich)

    Sunvox modules:

  • Beautiful.

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • @tja yes so far it's looking good. Fingers crossed 🙂

  • Yes. Please share a SunVox demo file. I love the Gadget Demo but I have decided not to move into that Gated Community. Too much innovation happening beyond the Walls of the Korgsburg Castle.

  • Then add Bank Select please in the next revision slated for 2020.

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • @McDtracy @tja yeah, I switched to Sunvox for all my sound design and mixing and mastering anyway, so that's just the next logical step 🙂

SunVox looks very powerful and deep. I remember Trackers and Mod(ule) File Players from the late 1980's when I got a Commodore Amiga 1000. I had to load applications from Fred Fish Floppy disks.

People wanted more features then and they never stop imaging new Applications that can be made from existing applications or applications on more expensive platforms... like "Bank Selects" in their MIDI sequencers. Everywhere I look "Bank Select" seems to be broken due to dozens of variations in the App and Hardware implementations. I think that's why "Hardware Editors" for each synth became popular. SysEx was created to upload/download complex Performance Setups.

There are always Apps to be written hoping someone will fund the developer(s).

  • @McDtracy yeah I also had an Amiga 1000, and 500. Though I mostly only did gaming on them...

And about Sunvox, I really don't care about the tracker part at all, I use it exclusively for its modular sound environment via MIDI...

BUT: I also started with music making using trackers. Though my first contact with them was some obscure DOS tracker. I then moved on to FastTracker ][, then Impulse Tracker... then I got my first synth, the venerable Yamaha SY 85... and the rest is history :D
