Yeah - It was a bit sluggish - cut them into 1 bars and all is snappy again.
So if I want to edit eg hihat CC on a longer take like 100 bars it will be very slow?
ChordPolyPad is the best:

Lots of controller data in a single long part can be slow to scroll and zoom, yes. The technical concept for a new implementation of the controller editor drawing code is ready and that will enable buttery smooth zooming and scrolling even with ridiculous amounts of controller data, but I can't yet say when this will be ready.
Until that happens, reducing controller data (or even quantizing it) or splitting it into smaller parts is your best bet.
Very interesting input, thanks! Yes, the challenge will be to condense the most relevant functionality into an efficient interface. My music theory is not extremely strong, so this will be more of a musical than a technical challenge. But I'll be victorious!
The main strength of ChordPolyPad is that it lets you build your own chords. Ideally that's what I would like to do, you could also maybe have some presets to get people started.
It could be smart and be based around the current scale (with Roman Numerals I IV V ii iii V7 iii7 etc) but also let you use notes out of scale if you want.
Flexibility is more important to me than convenience, but the two together would be killer.
Allright - thanks. And if I wanted to record all the CC from the TR-09 which is about 25 I think, should I set up extra lanes with specific CC’s? Also it seems I can only record 64 bars - is that the limit?
And thanks for all your help by the way.
No bother!
Regarding the CCs: the current hard limit for the amount of CCs per instrument is 12 (if you have purchased the "Up to 12 controllers" IAP -- otherwise 3). So, if you need more than 12 controllers on a single instrument (I considered this unlikely when devising the controller concept in Xequence), you would need to actually create TWO (or more) instruments with the same settings, but one f.e. containing the first set of 12 controllers, the second the next 12 etc... do you really need to control this many parameters at once on the TR09?
Then regarding your second question: You can of course record more than 64 bars
however, Xequence always considers the project to end 64 bars after the last existing part. So you could just draw a long empty part (say, 200 bars long) on any track before you start recording.
Thanks - no I don’t need 25 at once, but I might need 13.
Smooth cc editing. Mailed you the map.
@SevenSystems Drum maps are slipping off screen on my iPhoneX. Been dealing with it, but since you seem to be focusing on this feature currently, I'm hoping you can put a fix into the next update. Thanks.
@aaronpc, found and fixed for the 1.9 update. Thank you very much!
lovely

Can someone post a link to a video where step by step:
NEW PROJECT
CREATE TRACK
PLAY THAT APP(synth) WITH CHANNEL ....say 3.
Thanks
I still till this day have some mind block about the steps of this app.
I think too many years in and out of Ableton/Genome/ Modstep and I can't seem to get the GUI / finger/ mind connection happening....
Some thing leaves me standing with finger pointed at screen or getting frustrated otherwise.
It is on me. I know that.
Fear not. There are a lot of steps to this app. I don’t use it for a month, open it...try to recall workflow...and I’m like...back to modstep...ohmmmmmm
The app itself is easy to use and if still needed I can explain it in a few words and pics. The main problem I encounter is setting the midi settings in some other apps. It’s easy enough to make the tracks and point them at the apps midi you are connecting too, but the head scratching moments come with setting the midi up in some of the apps you are sending midi to.
I would have the app as input in AB2 or AUM.
Not sure if has AB remote. controls but if so AB2 will be where I use it.
I will want to send notes and CC data to
Animoog in AB2
Tines AU in AUM
Troublemaker as AU in AUM
wow'
LOL
A little update on what's going on here...
That's exactly the reason why I love ChordPolyPad:
I do know how to play the chord, so being able to enter it directly without scrolling through long lists is 10 times faster for me. ChordPolyPad is one great compositional utility.
Good suggestion!
Really nice job with all the explanation and screenshots.
... however, he mentioned AB2, not AB3. Unless that’s a typo then the AB3 midi stuff doesn’t apply.
Does this mean ‘multi track’ recording?
Yes! And it's zero-setup. Just hit record, and it will automatically create additional tracks for each source / channel combination as needed, and reuse existing tracks if possible.
